  1. Hi, CoinManage parses the barcodes on PCGS slabs. it is able to do this because we can get the pcgs number and grade of the coin from the barcode. If you are scanning the barcode from the slab of another grading company we cannot get any coin information, for example only the certification number.
  2. Hi, can you select FILE > GO TO IMAGES FOLDER from the main menu. Does it open a valid folder with JPG files? Can you make sure you have full read / write access to that folder. The problem could be that you do not have write access so HomeManage cannot save the images.
  3. We have updated our CoinManage for the Mac. Latest versions let's the user enter: Grading Service, Dealer & Location information. https://youtu.be/q4hGsVGdyMM
  4. does the folder shown in the screenshot 1 error message exist? if not can you create it? the way it works is that if you add any file in the attachments folder as an attachment, HomeManage will not store the complete path and package the file with backups. if you select any file not in the designated Attachments folder as an attachment, the program will attach it the old way by storing the complete path.
  5. You can add these items to the CoinManage database. We have a video on how to do this with a 3rd party item at:
  6. Hi, we also add common formats such as: Cover, album page, etc.. Otherwise a new user would see nothing in the formats drop down. we can add the ability to delete pre-defined formats you don't want to see. Probably for the 2024 edition.
  7. try selecting the 2021 icon in the StampManage Catalog. Then select UPDATE VALUE TABLE from the TOOLS menu. then EXIT and restart StampManage, do they show up?
  8. that is the USA version. So you are using the DELUXE now? You should install the DELUXE version making sure the data folder is set to the same path as the USA version. If you have already done that, try selecting: FILE -> UPDATE DATA FILE from the main menu, then EXIT and restart the program.
  9. Hi, the additional image downloads are only image files, not text data. They include images for many countries. The STAMPDATA.MDB file which contains all the text data is installed during the install of the main program itself.
  10. Ok, we will try to reproduce this here. sorry for the inconvenience.
  11. Hi, the size and the position of the main window is being remembered correct? The width and height of the Child windows within the main window is not? If so, we are aware and will fix this for an upcoming update.
  12. Hi, that error usually means there is a mismatch between the program and the data file. Such as when a customer is using the 2023 version with a 2022 data file. Can you select FILE > UPDATE DATA FILE from the main menu, then EXIT and restart the program. Does that help?
  13. Hi, yes I understand. The Mac version was released 20 years after the Windows version. We spend most of our development time on the Mac version so you should see further improvements every month or 2 with a new update. The Mac version uses the same database info as the Windows version so there will be no difference there.
  14. Hi, we are going to be working on adding French coins later this year. Right now it is empty as you have seen.
  15. Is there a book or database of these items anywhere online? If they are resonably popular We can take a look and keep them in mind for a future version.
  16. Hi .. When we release a new upgrade we send emails to all customers on a suscription but on average around 50% of them show as unopened. Can you email sales@libertystreet.com and we will set you up. Can't tell who you are from this post.
  17. Hi, you can easily go to the folder where the COINDESC.MDB data file is. Select: File > Toto Data Folder... from the main menu. To open the COINDESC.MDB data file you would need MICROSOFT ACCESS installed on your computer. Regarding importing values, there is not a way to do that. Since those values change so frequently it would be easier to just look up a value online when selecting a coin. You can currently go to the PCGS coinfacts page from a coin that has a PCGS number, from there you will see values for that variety. I don't think this was possible with NumisMedia last time I checked.
  18. Hi, it looks like the activation code for the 1st computer needs to be released for re-use. Since the computer crashed you can email us the activation code and we can relesae it online. If you still had access to the 1st computer you can easily release an activaiton code within the program using the menu selection: TOOLS > LICENSING > DEACTIVATE LICENSE
  19. Hi, we have a couple of videos on this subject. I believe the button is called "New Type" not "Add Type". Playlist for the videos is at:
  20. Ok, we will add this to our to-do list thanks for the suggestion.
  21. Hi, it should be at FILE > BACKUP DATABASE... in the main menu. (See screenshot)
  22. Hi, can you tell me how you are selecting the Stamps I don't Have report? I posted the screenshot of a place in the UI where we found and corrected an error. There are multiple ways of running this report so how are you selecting it within the program?
  23. ok so some of the varieties in the database had a tab character? we will try to figure out a way to remove these.
  24. Hi, is this for the CoinManage USA or the CoinManage Deluxe update?
  25. You could describe the error in the Comments field if the note has a Freidberg Number. We will look to add an Error field to the program for 2024. For notes that are not in the database you can use the Types & Varieties Manager under the Tools menu. There is a section in the on-line manual that shows how to use it:
