=== QUESTION

We are retailers and manufacturers of customized FURNITURE in NEW DELHI, INDIA. We are already using purchased HOME MANAGE HOME. No special Data base was needed and we used it straight away. Now we want to go for Standard or Enterprise version. We are unable to understand the difference in features between the two. We had downloaded the trial Enterprise version but could not set up SQL Data base which we found quite complicated. Now it is expired. But we seriously want to try it and purchase it. We need your help. Our business needs to have barcoded labels and Tags for furniture. We want to track the barcoded items under production by scanning at each stage. Item changes its location during production. Can we design furniture Tags with Item ID and product IMAGE. Our all inventory items are with IMAGE. We also need your guidance to decide about batch Data collection SCANNERS and Barcode LABEL Printer.

=== ANSWER

The only reason you would need the Enterprise version is if you have to store your data in SQL Server or MySQL format. The standard version should work fine for you and it even uses the exact same file format as the HomeManage program. This means your data should import easily into the AssetManage standard program.

The report designer that is included with the software lets you design your own labels with the fields you mention.

The program also ships with several label templates that you can use or modify for your own needs.
