Guest PAGuest
Hi, While trying to update an existing installation, or attempting to download a fresh install of HomeManage, AVG is trapping the Win/Heri virus, and the install is further blocked. Is this a known issue? I was fine until I tried to update this week. Thanks, -Frank
admin
Hi, that is a false positive, we have had issues with AVG in the past. A couple years ago they had some virus definitions that would actually crash our software and that caused a lot of problems. We will report this to them, I believe it is due to the Licensing system we use in our software.
admin
We did a google search and this issue seems to be happening with a lot of software, AVG is showing a false positive for the win.heri virus.

Guest RDavies
Hi, I am having the same problem. As a temporary work around I have added the application to the excluded application list in AVG.
admin
Hi, we had a customer who chatted with AVG tech support recently, he was told to put our file on the SAFE EXECUTABLES list: a) Open AVG and go to: Options > Advanced Settings > Exceptions (left-side) Add Exception. Browse for HomeManage.exe in \\Program Files(x86)\HomeManage c) Click OK twice to add it to the Exceptions list.
