Madgascar was under British Rule 1885-1886.
After 1886 it was under French Rule. Stamps from Madagascar are found under "Malagasy Republic"

As a generalization Within SM image file CountryID 765, then inages from 3,900 to 4,900 need change the 4 to a 3 as you say, but many images thereafter need to delete 1 from the Scott number.
I have covered Poland to Scott 4000 images:-

Its not impossible, but difficult to do, to import a Excel/CSV into Excel Format that Stamp Manage Database understands.
If you email me a selection of your Excel file I can offer you some help.

Yes I agree. Date & Year should be seperate. Date seems okay but Year is a mess within the database. Agree Year should be a 'short text' field as one needs to enter year spans (1860-1862).
But this has not stopped the Misuse of this field.

Is that a FULL STOP at the end of your Album Name?

Your Album name is used as a File Name. 
Just delete the Full Stop.

I have scanned lots of stamps into my database.
However yesterday I uncounted a problem with New Hebrides issue, Churchill Issue, Scott 62 to 65.
I used the same 96dpi settings and get an irregular wavy line.
I've a)increased the dpi setting as high as 4800
placed the stamps in a different position on the scanner
and get the same wavy line each time.
Today the scanner works perfectly for other stamps, being scanned in.
However the problem is still there for Scott 62 to 65.
Any SM viewer got any suggestions?
The last image is borrowed from the internet, this is how I want my scan to look.
