  1. Hi, I've run across this issue many times. I just divide the price by the number of stamps in the set and assign that as the cost to each stamp. If there is a remainder, say the division doesn't end in a round number, add the remainder to one of the single stamps so your total cost is represented. For example, if I purchase a set of 5 stamps for $3.93, I would divide the $3.93 {cost} by 5 (the number of stamps) which would equal $0.786 or $0.78. Then $0.78 times 5 = $3.90. So I would add a penny to the three highest values of the set or just add three pennies to the the highest value of the set. Then my whole cost of $3.93 is represented. I hope I didn't confuse you. I found this to be the easiest way instead of having to create a new number for the set. But if you want to do that, I think Scott considers it a lettered number ie 540-5 would be 545a in block or strip format. You could check the catalogue to see if a number has already been assigned to it in that format also. I hope this helps. Be safe, stay healthy and God bless!
  2. I sent a message to Online Technical Support and they helped me get my system running great. That's my suggestion because I kept having so many different issues I was about to change software. Or you can go to Online Support from the landing page on Liberty Software. That's what I did. But be patient. They will help you though. God bless!!

  4. Hello, I'm back!! Same problem, different program!!! I purchased SM2019 Deluxe and received the activation code. It would not work!!!! I was reading what was being said in the forum. Someone named "jawu", I think, was having some of the same problems exactly like me but theirs had been longstanding. I was given some suggestions that I could not do. You can read our exchange under my Guest Name Btrfly64. (I couldn't remember my password.) SO I'm still having this problem that is driving me up the wall. I can't access my old files nor the new ones. I really love and believe in SM but for practically two years I have been having too many problems, not being able to access it and losing my whole inventory TWICE!!! So I will try to be patient to see if you have any solutions before I really give up on SM. Like I said, I really do believe in the program and I don't want to go, but enough is enough!! I've started inventorying my stamps with paper and pencil again. That's bad!!! Here's waitin' on ya kid!! God bless you and yours!!

So I figured it was time to change the topic so it would get noticed as a new topic in the forum. Now that's that! Let's get to business!! I tried to download and install SM2018 yesterday after I read your previous reply. I know I'm late, but thank you very much!! After about two hours, I started wondering what was taking it so long to install. But I had to go somewhere and I was hoping when I returned it would be finished. Upon my return, it had continued to install but not by much and I didn't understand that. I had been gone for more than four hours!! That's when I shot off the above message to you.I waited for the program to continue installing, but it was moving veerrry slow and so was my whole computer!!! I opened another tab to try to watch YouTube. It wouldn't load. In fact, nothing would load, not even the home page of my browser!! That's when I knew there was definitely a problem somewhere else and I started investigating. I started with the firewall (I disabled it), then the antivirus (I disabled it), and the VPNs (I disabled them). It took forever to accomplish these tasks, but it didn't make any difference. I didn't restart because I didn't want to interrupt the installation. BUT it was still moving slow!!! By now it was about 10pm (ET) and I was really upset. But I let it run until 12am. this morning. I got frustrated and cancelled the installation because after more than 12 hours it had only installed about 1/5th of the program!!! I restarted my computer and continued my investigation. I checked everything and disabled all that I could that I thought would affect the speed of the internet and/or the installation of SM2018. Later after some sleep, I checked the internet connection and network. They were fine and no problems were found. Nothing changed!!! So I went to the heavy duty stuff like AVG Internet Security and Dell Support Assist. After each program finished its business, I restarted my computer. Again, no change!!! So I don't get it!! What is the problem? What am I doing wrong or what is wrong with my computer?? Any legit suggestions are encouraged and welcomed!! Any help that may relieve me of the levels of stress and frustration will be greatly appreciated!! And in advance I thank you so very much!! God bless you all!!!
  6. Okay, I've downloaded the program as you said. Now I'm installing it. But no one told me it would take half of the afternoon and maybe all night. It has been installing since at least 1pm (EST). That's about 8 hours so far and it is is only about 1/5th of the way done. Now, what do I do? I have WIFI, and WINDOWS and File Explorer are open with the Stamp Manage Setup page. I tried closing all the stuff except the SM page but it didn't matter. It was still slow as heck!! So I opened A Windows tab and opened the File Explorer, just in case. No difference. I don't remember SM2007 taking this long to download from the site. So what am I doing wrong? It looks like I won't be using the program until tomorrow sometime, maybe. I know I must be frustrating you guys or at at least getting on your last nerve, but I am really frustrated that I can't figure this out myself. I used to be pretty good with computers not too long ago. God bless you all and thanks a lot!!!

I am trying to get my program fixed and back up and running. I think it has locked me out because my free trial has expired and I had downloaded SM2018 onto this computer from an old computer. I think I have already sent you the backup before the SM2018 was added. You should have received it by now. I sent it quite sometime ago. When I went back to the program after a while, it had returned to its old racked up self, which I have just about had enough of. So how are we going to fix this? I re-downloaded SM2016 in the hopes that might at least give me the USA numbers. Well, you know what, it didn't do a thing!!! It was a waste of about 45 minutes. I then Updated Stamp Manager. Right. now big help there either. So now I'm sitting here so frustrated I am about to change to EZ-Stamp. Why not?! I'm going to have to re-enter all my data anyway. Either that or just dump everything from this piece of garbage and start all over. I am NOT feeling like that right now. It has already erased most of my data that I have to replaced!!! I probably don't have the papers nor the information to even fill in ail of the stamps now. OMGosh, this is so frustrating. Oh yes, do you think if I buy the 2018 would it correct any of my problems? I sent my backup file and haven't heard anything from anybody, but that's OK. I found the zip file my computer made on its own. So now can we try to get this daggone program working before I lose my temper????!!!! We can also arrange a time for a remote control session. It is the best way to figure out problems as trying to do so over a phone or email can be very difficult.   14. NOW you tell me!!? Thanks. I will try but my concern is my files are messed up since adding the 2017 upgrade. For instance, my US database starts with Scott #1 and then goes to #143!! I can't figure it out!! I am so frustrated that I am about to say forget it and go to another software. I really don't want to do that because I really like SM, but I can't get any answers to my problems.
  15. AHA!! This is exactly what I have been trying to get an answer to for more than 3 months. I had downloaded my SM2016 with 2017 updates and 2018 trial not installed to a flash drive in the hopes to hold everything together in one place to download to my new Dell laptop. I've yet to get an answer or maybe I don't know where to look for the answers.
  16. I have installed 2007 with the 2013 update that won't work. It won't accept my license code. I just realized that the format for the code is different than the one I have. Mine is a group of 6 digits/characters, then a dash then start all over with the group of 6 digits/characters. the format I see presented to me is group of 4 digits/characters, then a dash, and repeat.
  17. I am trying to upgrade StampManage from 2007 to the current version. I am so confused about what to do. My computer self-installed Windows 10 recently, so I am also trying to figure it out!!! I purchased SM 2007 several years ago. I purchased a new computer, backed up SM and tried to re-install it on my new computer. But I couldn't figure out how to import my backup. Finally I sent you an email requesting assistance. I received a response to download from an URL that was included. Did that and it still wouldn't run. Got an error stating my password was invalid. Then I have been very ill and depressed for a while. Now I want to inventory my large collection, but I don't know if I should just buy the latest version or figure out what is wrong with mine. I also want to include the other countries because I have a butterfly collection and a new worldwide album to fill up. I also collect US and territories, Spain and colonies, Turkey and colonies, Somalia and colonies, and Black History. I hope this is enough info for you to help me solve this dilemma in which I find myself. When I first got this software, I LOVED IT!!! I still do, but I need it to run!!! Thank you in advance for any help you can offer!! Oh, I forgot -- I still have the downloads for 2013 and 2015, but I figured I am missing some. Thanks again!!!
