After adding new varieties in STAMP DATAMANAGER, when I click the close button, DATAMANAGER closes without updating the value table. I had to go to the data folder and update the values manually
This is a problem with this software. What I do is get the database the way I want it, then when an update is available, I backup the stampdata .mdb, install the update, the restore my stampdata.mdb file. this solves the problem of inconsistant data
This is more trouble than its worth. Some people submit changes that match their collections and not the correct catalog info. Example, their own catalog numbers, or varieties that dont exist in the catalog. It always creates an unnecessary editing problem. I always copy my own stampdata.mdb file before an update, then copy it back to the data folder. My opinion is that liberty street should do away with this option
I fixed the image buttons and the edit button issues, by uninstalling and reinstalling, but none of the images that I have added show up. I have the files on my computer but adding them manually to about 5000 stamps is quite a bit of work
I just upgraded to Stamp Manage USA 2021 and all of my images are gone. When I tried to add them through Stamp Data Manager the image buttons are not active. How do I fix this
I have the same problem. I want to show a screen shot of a bug that needs fixing in SM USA 2020. On the data entry form when adding a new stamp to a collection, in the values section along with the values for grades, there is also a choice for face value. This is random an example is USA Scott 4000
1054c is listed as imperf pair with no value in the Scotts 2020 Specialized Catalogue of United States Stamps and Covers. 1054 is the large holes, wet printing and 1054b is large holes dry printing
That is because the values are stored in two different tables. The individual value is in the value table. The current value is in the Collection table. Think of the the Value table and the Stamp Database Table as the Scott Catalog and the Collection table as what it is your collection. So the current value is the number of stamps that you own times the value in the value table. The only way I can see to solve your problem is to make 3 entries of 1 stamp each in the collection table and enter your own value if it is not listed Example for a stamp with F/VF centering which is not listed Hope that makes sense
OK, I agree. When entering stamps in the Stamp Data Manager (under the Stamps Text tab) The values are not saved. This needs to be fixed, or that tab removed.
After you enter new varieties in Stamp Data Manager, click close on the left side of the Stamp Data Manager screen. This will append the new Stamp Data Manager entries to the default value table. Then open the StampManage Catalog screen on the left side of the screen and open the Value table should be named something like 2020. Find the scott numbers that you want and add your values
The Add stamp button only adds a stamp to your collection, but that stamp must be listed in the database. Tp add a new stamp to the database, go to the Tools menu and click on Stamp Data Manager. To add a value after you've added a new stamp go to Stamp Manage Catalog and choose the values table (2020)
If the 401 is entered as one record with a quantity of 10, simply double click on it and change the quantity to 9. Then add one to the other album. If there are 10 different records, Choose the one you want click on the menu "Actions, Move or copy stamps and move it to the new album.
