  1. This is a problem with this software.  What I do is get the database the way I want it, then when an update is available, I backup the stampdata .mdb, install the update, the restore my stampdata.mdb file.  this solves the problem of inconsistant data

  2. This is more trouble than its worth.  Some people submit changes that match their collections and not the correct catalog info.  Example, their own catalog numbers, or varieties that dont exist in the catalog. It always creates an unnecessary editing problem. I always copy my own stampdata.mdb file before an update, then copy it back to the data folder. My opinion is that liberty street should do away with this option

  3. That is because the values are stored in two different tables.  The individual value is in the value table.  The current value is in the Collection table.  Think of the the Value table and the Stamp Database Table as the Scott Catalog and the Collection table as what it is your collection.  So the current value is the number of stamps that you own times the value in the value table.  The only way I can see to solve your problem is to make 3 entries of 1 stamp each in the collection table and enter your own value if it is not listed Example for a stamp with F/VF centering which is not listed   Hope that makes sense

  4. After you enter new varieties in Stamp Data Manager, click close on the left side of the Stamp Data Manager screen.  This will append the new Stamp Data Manager entries to the default value table.  Then open the StampManage Catalog screen on the left side of the screen and open the Value table should be named something like 2020.  Find the scott numbers that you want and add your values

  5. If the 401 is entered as one record with a quantity of 10, simply double click on it and change the quantity to 9.  Then add one to the other album.  If there are 10 different records, Choose the one you want click on the menu "Actions, Move or copy stamps and move it to the new album.
