Ray
How do I change the ID nnumber in coin manage (Win10) I have a unique numbering system for my coins and I would like to insert them in the ID number (e.g. CL001 for Lincoln cent number 1). Can these numbers be changed to permit me to use my numbering ystem? admin
admin
You should probably use the Catalog Number field for that. The COINMANAGE ID is an autogenerated integer created by the database itself. It is not a value that can be changed.

Paul-W
I had the same issue with my coins, I have a unique and distinctive numbering system for new coins I add to my collection. I use the catalog number information "Number 1" field in the Additional Information tab of the "Add Coin(s)" dialog box. It then shows up in the table as Cat#1 which you can find in the Menu Tools Preferences Columns tab. You can add it and even move it up the the top so it shows as the first column in your table. I send the COINMANAGE ID field down to the bottom so it's off the page on my table, I don't even see it. You can also click on the top of the field so the table will sort on your Cat#1 column. NOTE-- Every time you update all the tables go back to the default with the COINMANAGE ID field on left side and the Cat#1 not there. You have to go back in the Preferences/Columns in the Tools menu and redo all your tables.
