Guest Dave
I have a 6 cent Washington stamp with a 2 color image on it. It looks like the scott's catalogue number 362, however it has a violet background. The used stamp is on a mailed envelop that is canceled in 1922. I looked from 1901 to 1922 software catalogue and found nothing. Anyone seen a stamp like this? Dave
cliff
In order for it to be a Scott 362 it must be perf. 12. It does not look like a perf. 12. Based on the date it would more likely be a Scott 506, perf 11. If it is perf. 10 there are a couple of other possibilities. The color darkening is most likely due to oxidation.
