  1. Hi, that is done by design, when the number of items gets to be over 1500 or so in a list there would be performance problems calculating totals. We are working, on increasing that number to 2500 or 3500 in the near future.
  2. === QUESTION I have a concern where Liberty has added a column called ID which now lists my stamps as I add them. Previously when I added stamps by scott number the stamps listing were sequence by scott number. This is the wat I like and have always viewed my stamps. How can I get back to this way and get rid of the program assigning an ID number. === ANSWER Hi, to change the sort​ing back to be by SCOTT number, simply click on the SCOTT number column header. You can also get rid of the ID column showing by changing the column settings in TOOLS > PREFERENCES > click Columns tab.
  3. For you/your other customers, I have Norton 360. I went to the Quarantine File in Norton and restored the CoionManage update file. I then ran the update and everything has worked great.
  4. === QUESTIONS ANSWERED I looked at your Home Inventory 2015 program. I crossed look at the related User Guide but it will be faster to ask you about some details. I need to know : Q.01 Is this program multilingual (French , English, Deutch..? Currently the program is only in English, we are working on a French version but I can't say we will have a German version anytime soon. Q.02 Can you have quantities related to one asset : like six chairs of this model and be able to substract quantities if you sold two of its ? You can reduce the quantity manually, it is not a point of sale program that will keep inventory. Q.03 Do you have the nice WordArt feature available when you desing a Print Report ? The report designer is pretty powerful, if you look at the large user manual for the report designer (HELP > VIEW REPORT DESIGNER MANUAL) you should be able to find some related features. Q.04 Do you have the 3D Aero effects in Reports Prints ? I don't believe so, again you could probably look through the reporting manual. Q.05 Do you have Pie Charts reports for a fast visual assets resume ? The report designer does allow you to create charts, including Pie charts.
  5. Hi I realize is for another product, but the principles are the same, the ASSETS.MDB file cannot be in a folder that is marked as read only. This includes any folder under the PROGRAM FILES folder. Change all references in the video from STAMPDATA.MDB to ASSETS.MDB and StampManage to HomeManage.we will make a video for HomeManage regarding this issue in the near future.
  6. === QUESTION Sirs: I have just installed CoinManage 2015 as an upgrade from version 2013. I now note that the coins in each collection are displayed in order by a Coinmanage ID number that has been assigned, and not by year. Reports still print listing in order by year but I find it terribly confusing to keep track of things with coins scattered all over creation. Is there a setting I am missing that would allow the computer to display by year? I note that the ID cannot be altered (personally, I'd get rid of it). == ANSWER Hi, all you need to sort by year is click on the column header for the column which you wish to sort by. So click on the YEAR column header to see the list sorted by year. You can also click again on the header to reverse the sort from Ascending to Descending order. Descending order can be handy when sorting on date columns We have quite a ​few customers who seem to like the unique coin manage id. It can be useful if you have entered several coins of the same year/mm and can quickly differentiate by the coin manage id.
  7. === QUESTION I was wondering is it possible to make a change to preferences permanent? Every time I enter the program I have to select StampManage 2015 Setup, Values, Enter Values Manually when adding a stamp. I would like to make this a permanent condition instead of having to change this every time I enter the program. Is this possible? === ANSWER Hi, not now but it is a pretty easy change we will add it to the preferences next Time we update the software.
  8. === QUESTION In adding a coin to your existing database for Canadian coins do you consider a 2006 LOGO made from Steel blanks and Zinc blanks as a new Variety or just a new coin of the same year that is already in your database., Also we don't have names like LINCOLN for our coins so what would we put as the TYPE Name in the requires box? === ANSWER I recall some modern Canadian coins have quite a few combinations of logos that could be on the coin. In most cases this should be a separate variety. On the other hand, it can be quite confusing for many collectors to have to scroll through a list of a certain coin with 16 different possible logos.

I think the Trieste SCOTT numbers would conflict with the Italy SCOTT numbers, there should be a separate country/stamp issuing entity for Trieste. any subcategory added under a country cannot have SCOTT numbers that conflict with the parent country. So if Trieste has a stamp variety with scott number 10 it will conflict with the Italy SCOTT number 10. Italy has ​a numbered folder that contains all the images for the country, if you were to add a sub category under Italy called Trieste, then add an image with the SCOTT number 10, that will conflict with the image for Italy SCOTT number 10. ​
  10. === QUESTION Does HomeManage Home Inventory Software run under Windows standard user accounts or does it need to run under an administrator account? == ANSWER It will run fine under a standard user account. We have seen a couple issues where for some reason the customer had his/her entire MY DOCUMENTS folder set to read only. Not really sure how this happened but the MY DOCUMENTS is where programs are recommended to store their data files.
  11. A customer asked how to get the current version number of CoinManage. One way to do this is to: 1/ Find COINMANAGE.EXE in the \\Program Files (x86) CoinManage or \\Program Files\CoinManage folder. 2/ Right Mouse click and select PROPERTIES from the popup menu. 3. Select the DETAILS tab. You will see the info there. As of the October 15, 2015 update the Product version should be 15.0.0.25 See attached image.
  12. Hi, so you are just adding coins to your collections when this happens? If you can tell me in as much detail as possible what you are doing in the software it would help trying to debug this problem.
  13. It is ready now, for CoinManage USA 2015 and Deluxe 2015 simply select HELP > CHECK FOR UPDATES from the main menu. We have had a couple reports of customers getting permissions errors when doing this. Mainly from 2015 but some earlier. We also added some images. The PCGS values have been updated. If you are still using an earlier version you would need to upgrade. The Deluxe update includes all the new enhancements in the USA update + we have changed the Canada database so that eBay searches use eBay Canada and not eBay USA. The UK database will now use eBay UK and not eBay USA. We have added a few new Canada and UK Listings. We are currently adding many more Canada, UK listings in order to update those separate products in the next month or so.

Will it work with UK£ Can I load it with a saved file from Quicken Home Inventory === ANSWER The program will use the currency as set your Windows Control Panel currency settings. So yes, it will work with any currency, but not more than 1 currency at a time. For example, you could not specify that the cost for one item was in US dollars, and another item was in Japanese Yen. If you can export your Quicken Home Inventory data to a CSV file or Excel spreadsheet file, we can import it into HomeManage
  18. === QUESTION G'day to you, Greetings from Oz. It is a beautiful blue sky of our first week of spring, after the coldest winter in 40 years. I have been practising by working with StampManage 2015 for the past couple of months. I got off to a bit of a wobbly start, but now under control. I would like to enter real stamps from my collection. I want to reset the StampManage ID number back to 1. Even though I've have deleted and cleared all the practice stamps, the present ID number just increases by +1 even though I don't have any stamps in any of the " My Collection"s If I can't reset. How can I start a completely new stamp StampData.mdb file. Hopefully, this will start ID at 1??? === ANSWER The Stamp Manage data file STAMPDATA.MDB is a Microsoft Access format data file. The Stamp Manage ID field is an AUTONUMBER field which means when you add a new item it will be assigned a unique id. When we ship the program the data file is empty and the first id will be 1 and continue by increments of 1. When you delete items, the ID that item used is not reset until you COMPRESS the data file. The file can be compressed by opening it in Microsoft Access and then select the COMPRESS command. We were not expecting so much interest in the Stamp Manage ID field so we did not build a compress command into the program. We will look at doing this for the next major version.​
  19. Hi, yes I believe it should be F-15, we will change the wording for the next free update. Right now you can only choose one or the either regarding B.V. We can look at a way to accomodate both. When an entry is deleted you would need to compress the program database to free up the unique ids. This is not something we would want to do after every delete as it can take 20 seconds or more. We will try to add a compress database option, maybe as a separate utility that can be used outside of CoinManage. If you have Microsoft Access it is possible to open the COINDESC.MDB file and compress it, make sure you backup before doing this.
  20. 1/ Hi, the reason we don't do that is some users would rather see a separate entry for each coin. Let's say for example the 4 coins were purchased from different dealers. If their was only 1 listing with quantity 4 their would be no way to specify the different dealer for each individual coin. If you are seeing duplicate entries and not sure why this I happening.. it is probably because you are pressing the APPLY button and then the OK button in the ADD COIN dialog. Each of these actions will add the currently specified coin to inventory. Either simply click the OK button or choose the CLOSE button after you have clicked on APPLY. 2. That is a good idea we will add It to our to do list. You should be able to drag to a collection, that Is not working for you. When you add a coin to inventory using the ADD COIN dialog CoinManage will remove it from the Want List if it is ther 3. Ok, we can fix that, will try to reproduce here.
  21. We have seen this issue a couple times. LIke most Windows applications, CoinManage puts the data file in a folder under the MY DOCUMENTS folder. If that folder is set to read only there will be problems. Below is an email thread describing the issue and resolution. ================================================================================================= I have completed the registration process on my desktop and laptop. New problem, laptop will not open with my user profile, only as administrator. Unable to do anything with data base to get file to open??? In the past we have seen restrictions such as the MY DOCUMENTS folder was set to read only, the program will not work with such serious restrictions as it usually writes to a data file under the MY DOCUMENTS folder as specified by Microsoft. =================================================================================================== Thanks for help. Thought I had removed read only but still there when I reopened properties. Little more complicated to do than I thought. Is this normal behavior or is there some other reason for a current “value” not being shown? Thank you === ANSWER Hi, this is probably because you have not yet downloaded the gold, silver, platinum spot prices. Check out this video for more info.
  23. Do you have an image of the stamp? If so, check out the LIGNUP stamp search program, it will search many stamp collecting sites for your image and in many cases will return results that will show you the SCOTT number and other information.
  24. === QUESTION I see a COLUMN under Preferences "Variety Notes", but I do not see a form that has that as an entry. Where can I find it ? === ANSWER Info for this field can be entered in the stamp data manager as it is a field that is stored in the stamp variety database. If you enter a stamp into your inventory that has variety notes associated with its SCOTT number, you will be able to view them. But you can't enter this info from the ADD STAMP dialog, you would need to edit the stamp manage database using the STAMP DATA MANAGER and add / edit the variety notes for the SCOTT # variety. Many of the USA stamps in our database have extensive variety notes courtesy of customers.
