Paul, for years now I have used MS Access to clean up the SM Types table after each upgrade and maintenance release. I spend an hour or two correcting descriptions, typos, hyphenation, etc. Is there any way I can keep from having all my corrections overwritten during every upgrade and maintenance release? I would be glad to do a quality edit of Types and maybe Varieties before each release or maintenance upgrade for you before you issue the release as I am going to have to do it anyway. Thanks, Bill

As you have SM2013 loaded, use the Help/ Check for updates functionality to see if there is a posted update for 2013. If I remember correctly there has been one update since I purchased 2013. If your are up to date the query reply will tell you your software is up to date. If not it will give you an option to download the updates. Not as simple as having a version number on the about screen, but it will let you know if you are up to date.

Dick, I am assuming you mean the "Search for Stamps" functionality when you use the term querie. The problem may be local to your machine. I am able to run the search function with no problem. I just found a "hummingbird" stamp in my US collection using search. Sorry I could not be more help. Best, Bill

Just installed the demo and was not impressed. Yes, one can search for and retreive similar stamp images from several websites including Decamp, ebay and others but the software does not identify the original stamp image. In fact, the software returns so many images it makes it difficult to determine which of the images are relevant to the specific stamp in question. The software may well return an image that is a correct match, but picking out that image for 30 or 40 images that do not correctly identify the stamp is more hassle than it is worth. Do not expect this sofftware to come back with a single image that correctly identifies your stamp. It will come back with dozens of images from several internet sites that are similar to the queried image. It does not check watermarks, perfs, color. Not sufficiently helpful to justify the cost, in my opinion.
