  1. Great. That'll work, although leaving it where it was also works, as there is an open space for it. Also, it would be nice to be able to delete entries I've made into some of the drop-down menus on the Add Stamp or Stamp Properties windows. For example, if I typed in the name of a certain album in the "In Album/Stock book" menu, but then no longer use that album, I'd like to be able to delete it. My list is getting very long, mostly old albums.
  2. What happened to the "Grade#" dropdown box in the Add New Stamp or Stamp Properties dialogue windows? I just updated SM Deluxe 2022, and restarted the program, to no avail. The Grade# selection was there until I updated.
  3. I'm (slowly) adding images of all the US Souvenir Pages to my database. I wonder if I email the Admin just prior to selecting "Submit User Changes to Liberty" with a brief explanation of what specifically I'm wanting them to update, this would help them focus on just the images I added. Rick
  4. I have a similar problem when I try to sort by, say, the "Centering" column. It's fast, so no issue there, but, while the results do group all the, say, "Fine" stamps together, they're not in Scott # order as desired. Rick
  5. I'm having intermittent SM USA 21 lockups when I select "Acquire Image" to scan stamps into the database. The Epson logo window appears as expected, and that's as far as it gets. I tried the Win11 driver for the Epson, and the Win10 driver, and both have this problem. I'm using a fairly new HP Envy laptop. When SM locks up, I'm forced to use Task Manager to End the program. This problem only started when I went to Win11 on my laptop. I don't think it happens on a different desktop that is also running Win11. I have the latest update to SM USA 21. Any ideas? Rick
  6. ...and don't say "it submits user changes to Liberty ..." What kind of changes do you folks get? My scans of stamps? Value changes (that wouldn't make much sense)? Or, more sensibly, changes to Variety data, like changing a Scott # suffix to match the catalog? That sounds like the kind of data you folks would want. What else would be helpful? Rick
  7. Thanks, Colin. SM can sort by Scott # correctly, as seen when one clicks on that column, but I can't make it do it. Also, how does one select more that one column in SM?
  8. There has to be a way to do this, but I can't figure it out. I'm not an Access-ologist. I want a list, in Scott # order, of all my booklet panes, so I can check them off a list of all booklet panes, to see which ones I'm missing. I also want a list, in Scott # order, of all stamps I have entered with a Centering of Fine, so I can print a list of stamps I need to replace. I tried selecting the Column heading for Stamp Type, and Centering, so it groups all the stamps, but they're not in Scott # order. On a similar note, under the View By pane on the far left, can you add "Centering" to the list of options?
  9. If I double-click in the Varieties column for the stamp I'm entering/editing, I can change/add text in that field. It's not a drop-down or text entry box. The only problem with that is it changes the Varieties data for all entries of that stamp, like a coil single and a coil pair of the same stamp. But I'm changing my Evil Ways and using the Comments section in the Additional Info tab, as suggested by Al G.
  10. Thanks, AI G. I noticed after I wrote this post that I could also use the Comment field. I assume that would achieve the same results as the Status field. I'd still like to retrieve all the info I seem to have lost.
  11. I have been entering the word "SCAN" in the Varieties column to let me know that I have scanned my actual stamp. This morning when I opened SM USA 2021, most, but not all, of the stamps that I made this entry to no longer had the word SCAN. I backed up the data last night, so I restored that backup, but the word SCAN is still missing. The default data in the Varieties column is still there. Is there a way to fix this? If not, is there a way to tell if I have scanned a stamp into the database? I know I can look for the StampManageID in the StampImages folder, but that is very time consuming when I'm trying to fix over 5000 stamp entries.
  12. I tried to attach a 951 kB JPEG, and of course was unsuccessful. It was the Arctic Animals sheet, Scott #3292, scanned at 240 dpi, and I got the Out of Memory message. What is the max file size for an image? Rick EDIT: I was finally successul at 150 dpi, with a resulting file size of 378kB. 200 dpi at 655kB was unsuccessful. I'm guessing the max file size is around 500kB? Also, I find that if I close SM and restart it, sometimes a scan that failed will be successful. Maybe a memory buffer or something like that is getting full?
  13. How can I overcome this, besides lowering the scanner resolution? I'd like to keep the enhanced detail from the higher (>300dpi) resolutions. My computer has 16GB of ram and a new AMD 5700G processor. My scanner is an Epson Perfection V19. Thanks, Rick
