  1. The sort function on the list of stamps in a collection does not truly sort properly. For example, USED-VG sometimes comes before USED-F, and FDC sometimes comes mixed in a string of USED-VF. The more frequently sorted columns of Album page, country, and Scott number work fine. In fact, the only problem I can confirm is Condition. Kirk
  2. Many of the Yemen stamps have Scott numbers that are not in the 2018 Scott Catalogue. Some have numbers that are shown in Scotts but have different stamp data (Description, Denomination, etc.). Some have huge Scott numbers that are not in the books (eg., 6000 and 7000 series of numbers). The Different stamp data for stamps in Scotts is the most troubling as they cannot be anything but trouble to use. Please tell me if I am missing something. (The almost complete lack of images makes it difficult but it is a war zone after all). Kirk
  3. This does not work in 2018 version. It works for all lists except the main window of the stamps. This list has to be changed by the Windows Settings Systems Display control panel. However this changes everything on the computer for the user. This is a bug to me. At a display setting of 100%, it should be readable more so than try to get all the information on one line. Kirk
  4. Does stamp 1403 have the correct image? Scott's 2018 has no picture but the description says it is green and yellow. The image only shows green. I have a Kachina stamp that I can't find in either Scotts nor in Liberty. It is dated 1966 but I can't find it. The description in Scotts page 2B52 lists it as Kachina, the only one I have found. Thanks, Kirk
  5. There are only limited stamps listed under Croatia and none in 1952 which is the period I am looking for. There were many stamps issued and still sold so they have to be somewhere but I can't find them. They do not even seem to be listed in Scotts 2018. Should I give up for now / create my own entry or am I missing their location?
  6. 13-15 have the right picture but wrong description
  7. The following stamps seem to be in error in the 2018 software: 641 and 643. More may be wrong in the neighborhood. Reference Scotts 2018 page 2A398. In most errors, the software is inconsistent in itself (pictures don't match data), but in these cases, all the data seems wrong (inconsistent with the reference). This was a hard error to find.
  8. Thanks. Each time is not that painful but for bulk entries, it gets in the way. I appreciate your consideration of a change.
  9. Hi, yes that would find them for each country and all the stamps of the countries. I would have to look through hundreds of thousands of lines, compare each with my list of 30000+ items in my catalogs, to find the ones I should copy to send to you. I don't have enough days left to do that. I was hoping that there was a way to do the same but with my own collections rather than the whole collection of the database. For example, if I could see an icon of the stamp in the inventory list for each collection and then sort them, all of the empty ones should group together. Just like sorting on the condition of the stamp. I would even accept some type of sort that would do that but not appear on the list - I would see the lack of an image in the bottom window. (If there is a image and I put it in, the program already has a mechanism to send the data to StampManage).A good thing about each process is that it would also ID the collection and the page number of the stamp for retrieval for the scan. Then I can use that data to bulk use the Stamp Data Manager to associate each of the new ones with the database, instead of having to do them a few or one at a time, with the long wait associated with closing the Stamp Data Manager. Any of this make sense? Kirk
  10. Unless I am missing something, you can't put images on the column view, nor generate a report of images missing from entered stamps. Either of these would be useful to find stamps in the collection that the user has but the system does not have an image for. By definition, the user must have the stamp to bother entering the item into the database. This is valuable information that, if more easily accessible, might encourage users to scan these stamps and submit them to Stamp Manage so to make the program more complete. As a reminder, one cannot scan stamps from Scott Catalogue pages and submit that - that is copyright infringement. But it is OK to scan stamps you have in your collection. To indicate the need for this, I have some 30,000 stamps in my collection and quite a few are missing from the standard database. I suppose every time I find one missing, I could stop entering collection data, scan the stamp, crop and straighten the image, adjust lighting, import the scan, and go onto the next stamp. But I would find it preferable (more efficient) if I could do batches of them.
  11. As I have used Stamp Manager, I have sometimes chosen to enter a non-standard description for Condition of Stamp: Format input box. For example, before there was a plate number field, I would put the plate number after Plate Block (e.g., Plate Block 111111). For sheets, I have added the number of stamps on the sheet (e.g., Sheet (50) 121111). When I did this, the new entry became part of the drop down list such that it is too long now to use efficiently. While entering new items on the list was easy, the removal of them has been harder to determine. How do I remove these add-on entries?
  12. It would be extremely useful to have the program add up the face values of all stamps in a collection. This is the "original" value of the stamps and can be used for comparisons to current values. I have too many stamps to do this manually. Of course, each country would have to be done separately to avoid the currency exchange rate changes but that can be done outside the program or with a input screen as part of the country metadata.
  13. I uninstalled SM2017, rebooted, and reinstalled. It took the code this time. I have no idea why the disk copy did not work right.
