  1. I agree. I find too many obvious errors.
  2. Hopefully, this is an easy one. On my main screen I use the "date purchased" column. It displays the date purchased as well as the time, down to the second, that the entry was made. Is there a way to format this column to show the date only? I'm just trying to clean some of the clutter from the display. Thanks.
  3. After I installed StampManage 2024 I went through and corrected the database for these items. I found that the database did not agree with Scotts and the images did not agree with either the database or Scotts. I corrected the range N21-N60, almost all of which were mislabeled. I uploaded these changes to StampManage and I can only hope they will review them and incorporate them in the next update so that it doesn't overwrite my database.
  4. I am willing to take the time to correct these items using the "edit variety information" function if that is the best way to do it. I will make the listings agree with the Scott catalog. But will I be wasting my time because when I do an update it will restore the database to the incorrect items? Thanks
  5. It appears that there may be an error in the Stamp Manage database, unless I am misreading it. If I am wrong perhaps the administrator or another member can explain to me. Russia N1-N60 are Russian stamps issued under German and Finnish occupation during WWI and WWII. Most are German and Finnish stamps with overprints. But the description in the database and the picture do not match, and neither matches the Scott catalog. As an example, Scott N10, per Scott, is a 40 pf Germania stamp with an occupation overprint issued in 1916. The Stamp Manage database describes it as a 40 pf Hitler stamp, overprinted "Ostland" and issued in 1941. The picture in the Stamp Manage database is a 3 pf overprinted Hitler stamp. Scott N41, per Scott, is a 1pf gray black Hitler stamp overprinted "Ukraine". The Stamp Manage database describes it as a 1pf blue stamp with overprint but links to a image of a 20pf blue Hitler stamp. This appears to be a problem with this entire series. Am I missing something here or is this entire series mislabeled in the database? Thanks.
  6. I have just experienced a similar problem involving a small number (several hundred) stamps that may have been involved in a group update. The update had nothing to do with value. I had changed the name of a dealer and was updating my collection to reflect the change. I am manually fixing the stamps that were changed but hope this bug can be fixed soon so that we can again use the bulk update feature.
  7. This is just a suggestion for a future upgrade, although I realize it might be difficult. I have just started using your "Album Page View" for some of my miscellaneous items. If the space provided in this report could match the size and shape of the actual stamp it would be much more useful. With some larger items it is difficult to get them on the page. Thanks for the consideration.
  8. It isn't a big deal, but every time I download an update the display resets all of my columns to the default. Like many others, I suspect, I use custom columns for the information that I really want to see. It only takes a few minutes for me to redo them, but is there any way this can be avoided?
  9. For what it's worth, this is not a universal problem. I just successfully backed up from 2023 Deluxe.
  10. I have a question about updates. I occassionally make corrections to the database using the "edit variety information" function for a variety of reasons: to add missing information, to correct an error, add a picture where there was none, or sometimes to just update a picture with one that I think is more representative of the stamp or better quality than the stock picture. I do not expect this information to be incorportated in the Stamp Manage database for use by all users, but it is fine with me if it is. I do regularly run the "submit user changes to Liberty Street Software" function. I don't track, nor do I really care, if they incorporate these changes. My question is this: when I download an update, either an annual upgrade or a free mid-year update, does it overwrite my database so that I lose all of my changes? Is there any way of preventing this? Thanks
  11. You have been constantly expressing your unhappiness with this software. Perhaps you should try one of the other software packages out there. You will find they are much more expensive. We understand that this database is basically "crowdsourced" and that errors will creep in (although I agree that it could be more closely moderated.) But perhaps rather than constantly complaining you should try another software package.
  12. There is a topic pinned to the top of this forum that may answer your question.
  13. Is there a way to enter a stamp that is not listed in the Scott catalogue? The Scott number screen appears to be required in the add stamp wizard. Specifically, I have acquired stamps from Western Hungary which are not listed in Scott. Thanks.
