Lost all computer files, but had a backup for reloading

Two months ago I was forced to do a Windows 10 software update on windows.  Thinking everything would be OK I updated windows and in the process lost all my software programs and data.  Following the loss of software programs and files I reloaded all my software including CoinManage 15 and CoinManage 18. Although, I have an old backup COINDESC.MDB file that I've been trying to reload, the software does not allow me to retrieve the backup file.  ANY IDEAS of what I can do to reload the coin data from this file?  I hate to go back and reload all the coins that I spent endless hours loading.
