Stamp data Manager - misordering new subvarieties

I am trying to enter sub-varieties onto stamp data manager.  I use the add sub-variety tab and make appropriate changes, but when I save, they all go to the very bottom of the list and I cannot get them to stay in the list order by Scott number below the parent stamp.  When I try to add them to my collection, I have to scroll to the very bottom to actual find the stamp sub-variety I just created, instead of finding it below the parent stamp.  I assumed they would re-order if I hit the number column, or reloaded the program but the order stays the same.  Is there a way to correct this?  I plan on adding many more stamp varieties and don't want to constantly search for the ones I created which are out of order.  This only started to happen when I upgraded to 2020 version and all of my other additions which were imported up from the earlier version are all there and in order on stamp data manager.
