Guest Aa7805@hotmail.com
What does the variety column represent? In particular when there is a letter, number code like A20, that covers a range of stamps.
Al G.
The convention is that it is the Scott design number although some have added other information. Al
Guest Tony in mi
Scott design number? I am not familiar wit that term and nothing pulled in google What exactly does it mean/represent?
pattrickcolin
In Scott World Catalouges 1-6 the Scott design number represents the Images appearing. Each image is a representative sample of a group of stamps. So for Jersey image "A109 Europa 1990" it represents a group of stamps Scott532 to Scott535 e.g. Europa Issues. The image displayed is for the third image in this set of four, namely the 24p stamp. Hope that explains it. Happy New Year and wishing you Hope.
