Finally! I tried one more time and clicked Help > Check for Updates, and it said a new version was available. I updated and then it was possible to add 2020 stamps up through 5422, which I assume is all that is available. Thus this issue can be closed. Thanks!

Sorry for the confusion. Yes, the problem continues. I just repeated the described process. It said "Importing SMV~2021", and then started saying "Adding" and lots of stamps. Yet after that and exiting / restarting the program, no new 2020 stamps.

No. I don't have a File > Update Data File, but my version shows File > Update New Stamp Manage Data File, which is what I assume is the same? I do that, exit and restart the program and no change. I have done this at least twice. Any other ideas?

Overall, I love your software! However, after updating my SM 2021 software to the latest available release, running on Windows 10 Home, I don't have 2020 US stamps. I was hoping that most of the 2020 stamps would be available. The highest US general issue stamp number that was available is 5427b, which was issued 10/25/2019. I have tried twice to run "Update New Stamp Manage Data File". I thought I had loaded many more stamps from 2020 already, and now they don't show. How to I get 2020 stamps to load?
Thanks for any help!

I just upgraded to the 2021 StampManage version, thinking I would get most of the 2020 US stamps available to add to my collection. If I click the "Add Stamp" icon and search to the end of the US general issue stamps, the latest available stamp to add is #5455, issued on March 4, 2020. However if I click on File > StampManage Images Folder, it shows US stamps available to #5523. How do I get the "Add Stamp" function to be able to access the US stamps up to #5523?
Thanks!

In addition, StampManage 2020 is not saving changes I am making to variety, as I do a backup and go back to the same entry, and the updates are lost. Please help! This is very frustrating.

Several times a day as I am cleaning up my stamp images in StampManage 2020, I get the error messages, "Cannot open any more tables" and "3014". It takes awhile to wait until I no longer get the message when I try to close it. I then save and re-enter the application and then after awhile it happens again. What can I do to eliminate these error messages? I am running Windows 10 Home 64 bit with 32 GB RAM. Thanks for any help.

Yes, I did try selecting a different collection and still no data. Yes, I always (try) to do a backup before exiting.
I tried saving to my C: drive versus my D: drive, and it didn't give me an error, but no backup was created and saved. Also the data in the database went blank until I closed and reopened StampManage.
Other thoughts?
Thanks, Janet

I am running the latest StampManage 2020 version on a Windows 10 Home 64 bit. My backups had been working fine until a few days ago when it started giving me an error message saying that I did not have permission to save to my designated folder that had worked fine before. It asked if instead I wanted to save under my username. I said yes and went to look for the backup in the folder it said it would save to and it was not there. I also verified the security of the folders I had saved to before and assured all the folders had "full control". StampManage still would not save to my preferred location. In addition, after I attempt to do File > Backup Database, it wipes out all data showing previously. I have to exit and come back in to see my data. I have tried running StampManage as administrator and get the same results. Please help! Thanks much.

Here is what worked for me to solve this long start-up time, if you are using Windows 10:
- Open the “Start” menu.
- Click on “Settings.”
- In the “Find a Setting” search box, type in “Firewall.”
- On the left, click on “Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall.”
- Now, the “Allowed App” windows will pop up. Click on the “Change Settings” button.
- Click "Allow another app".
- Browse to find the StampManage executable file.
- Check the boxes under the type of networks that will allow this communication (private or public).
- Click on “OK” to save your new settings.
This dropped my startup time time from 11 minutes to 40 seconds, not great, but dramatically better.

Stampmanage 2020 is taking about 11 minutes to load!!! I also have Acronis and see that "Active Protection" is running. It is not flagging StampManage as a suspicious process. In Acronis > Active Protection > Manage Processes > Monitored Processes, it says "This process does not have a trusted certificate". I manually added StampManage as "Allowed to Start". However that made no difference in time for the software to load. I did not have this problem with StampManage 2019.
Is there a way for StampManage to use a trusted certificate, in case some other software is also taking issue with this? Any other ideas as to how to improve this unacceptable start-up time?
Thanks,
Janet

I just updated to Stamp Manage 2020 yesterday. Whenever I single-click on a given stamp, the photo of the stamp does not change in the bottom right box; it stays the same for all stamps. If I double-click on the image information, then the correct stamp image shows. This was not a problem in the 2019 version. Any ideas how to fix this?

I was wondering why no stamp images showed in my 2021 software and noticed that my StampImages folder is empty. How do I get this folder loaded with pictures that you provide of stamps?
Thanks for your help!
