If I add/delete locations and categories will everything remain the same after a new version is installed?

dshafs got a reaction from admin in Could I please get a reply? Do I have to pay for special support?
If I add vehicles under vehicles in "view by" I can assign assets to the vehicle but I there is not a field for vehicle value to track that vehicles value.
If I have a category "vehicles" I can value them but I can't assign assets.
What might I be doing wrong.
