  1. You can add other .jpg images, is that right? Maybe the problem is that the image is slightly corrupt. It's happened to me before - the image seems OK but I can't add it to other programs. Do you have any image editing programs? I use Photoshop or ImageGlass (free) to fix problems like this. Just drag the image to your editor and save it as a different file type - .png works well for me.
  2. I recently acquired a few coins with specimen finishes. I went to the 'grades to show' tab in setup, but only see SP-65 listed. How can I get SP-66 through SP-70 added to the database? I tried entering SP-70 into the Grade field, but it disappears after a while and I haven't been able to figure out what triggers it. It just goes blank. Thanks.
  3. Why can't staff at least respond to new problems with at least posting a "too busy, will get back tomorrow" or something like that? I posted a week ago about a problem with Sold Coins and haven't heard anything. I don't think I'm the only one that's frustrated. Please, I paid my money for your product. Just support it. Please.
  4. Is there any way to get back coins that are in sold coins purgatory? 'Un-selling' doesn't work, I can't move them out to a collection, and I'm now stuck with half my sold coins lost to me and the other half that won't go in to sold coins because they don't have a cost associated with them. I don't need a cost on those records and I'm not going to go through 800 coins just to get them to move to sold coins. This is a huge problem for me. Please, can you offer some help?
  5. General queston - does anyone know of a source that shows Red or Blue book values in 2003? I need to determine capital gains and want to value all of my inherited coins as of the date or year of the inheritance. I'd be grateful for any links.
  6. Yes, I agree that this would be extremely useful. In fact, having the ability to choose between red book and blue book would help us when either selling and buying. Please consider this.
  7. Jon, The reporting tool shows a couple of ways to export to Excel. When you run a report, Excel is listed as the 5th option in the drop-down box. However, I've given up trying to figure out an option that produces any output at all using default values with that option. You might understand the options better than I and can figure it out - if you do, please let me know. The second way is to use Text (CSV) format and import that into Excel. It's a little more work but it does produce a usable file. Oh, and remember to check the header / footer box if you want them - I missed them and had to recreate them myself. This is all written from memory, so give me a shout if something's not quite right. sceptical
  8. For insurance purposes, I need to be able to show both value per individual coin and total coin value. It appears that the existing 'current.value' is the second of these, (individual coin value * quantity). I can accomplish this by making individual entries for every coin and leaving quantity at 1 for each one, but that seems unnecessary. I've gone throught the videos and the manual but can't find this info. How can I show value per individual coin so I can give my insurance company the 'individual coin value', 'quantity', and 'total coin value' that they want? Thanks.
  9. I've been using the Youtube tutorials to get my first report designed. I'm very close to getting it perfected, with one exception. I just can't figure out how to print a country header when the report starts with the next country. The 'coins by denomination' report does what I want but I've been unable to figure out how it does it. Maybe the Group Header? Anyway, here are examples: What I see in my report: What I want to see: Where is the item that triggers this yellow country header to be printed? Thanks in advance.
  10. As I look at this more, I don't think this is the problem. I think there's a bug. Here's what I see: Under 'Australia', the columns I want have been customized: Under Bullion Coins, I have the same columns: Under 'Silver Kangaroo', I see a different set of columns, and no amount of adding, deleting, etc. will ever change that. It always stays the same. I guess my question is, can I create a customized default set of columns that I see each time I add a new variety? Or can I copy / paste those settings from a good one to the current one? I may not be describing this as well as I could. Let me know if you need more clarification.
  11. Good Morning, I'd like to see a new category for what columns are shown and how they are displayed under the Setup menu. Under 'Categories', could we have a 'Showing Variety' selection? Each time I create a new coin type and variety, I have to add / delete / move columns to meet the standard that works best for me. A Variety selection would, I believe, allow me to just do it once. Is there already something like this in the product now that I've just not discovered? Thank you.
