I'm wondering the same thing. I purchased the Mac version a year or more ago and have seen no improvements. It isn't even possible to export all of the data I've entered. Feel like the hours I spent entering my coins was a waste of time.

If you have a feature request, I recommend adding it to the existing thread in this forum:  https://libertystreetsoftware.invisionzone.com/topic/93450-mac-version-feature-requests-questions/

That's what I've done and it'll help the admin/developer keep a running list of the most requested features.

    Thanks

  2. Adding a few feature requests to this thread:

    1. The ability to export the CoinManage DB from Windows to Mac. I know this is roadmap but yeah, this would be super awesome
    2. The ability to edit the "generic" types to add the date (such as creating a 2020 Shield Cent)
    3. The ability for the app to remember the column order when I look at my list of coins. For example, I like having the catalog number the first column but I have to redo this every time I open the app.
    4. The ability to indicate who or the grading service used and the serial number for those graded by 3rd parties (NGC, PCGS, etc)
    5. Ability to enter the costs/sold information (lower priority IMO but helpful)
    6. Source of the coin (dealer, family estate, etc)

    Thanks!

After purchasing Liberty Street's Mac OS version of Coin Manage, I am disappointed to find that it does not support 2020 coins. The following statement is on Liberty Street's website concerning the Mac OS version. Has anyone been able to find a way to add 2020 coins?

    • Complete variety info, mintage figures + values for all USA Coins, Commemoratives, Sets & Bullion Coins 1793-Present

    Jim,

There's kinda a way to do this.  At the end of the list of years for a type, you will see a generic option to enter a coin. Seem my screenshot to get an idea of what I'm talking about. Now the trick is that you can't edit this to add a year - so I've had to enter it into the notes and will have to go back to add the proper coin later when the database for the app is updated.

It's not ideal but it does work

The images/photos feature has been added but it is not functional. Photos cannot be added ...

Plus please add video or drop down in the menu to help us add a photo.

    David,

You should be good-to-go on this.  The latest update supports adding of photos to coin records.

How do you change which columns show up on your printouts?

    Hi,

Right now, it does not look like this is an option in the Mac version.  There is a Mac version feature request thread in this forum:  https://libertystreetsoftware.invisionzone.com/topic/93450-mac-version-feature-requests-questions/

I would encourage you to add this to that thread so the Admin can keep track of all the requests in one thread & prioritize them.

    Cheers,

    Clinton

  6. Hi,

On the Coin Add page, scroll down a bit and you will find the database entries for the coins with mint marks.  The top dozen entries or so are error varieties that don't have mint marks.

    Hope this helps,

    Clinton

Yes, I realize it is an issue.  Unfortunately fixing it means making many program changes to detect the user screen size and scale accordingly.  We will be doing these changes in the coming months.

    Hi,

Just checking to see if there was any update to this issue?

    Thanks,

    Clinton

  8. The forums tend to be quiet most of the time but the Admin and developer does chime in consistently.

I've used CoinManage for years now and have plenty of NGC graded coins in there as well as bullion products. I suspect it is a bit of "your mileage may vary" but overall, I've been happy with CM.

For example I have  two different Canadian $1.00 coins for 2016 but when I go to add them there is only one entry ,how can I add another one, or is it possible?

    Hi,

You can either add each coin as a separate entry (which is what I personally do, even of coins of the same grade) or you can adjust the quantity on the Coin entry page.  See my screenshot below.  If I've misunderstood your question, please reply back with more details.

  10. Hi,

I have found that if you attempt to update a collection that doesn't exist, it will throw an error. For example, if you have the app update the values on the "Sold Coins" list but don't actually have coins in that list, it will error out.

Try un-checking any list where you don't actually have coins in it then try to update the values. I'm able to get it to work with no issues.

If you change anything else such as the color scheme, keyboard shortcuts etc.. is that saved properly?

    Hi,

Everything else appears to save. I tested the color scheme this morning and it saves with no problem. I also tested a keyboard shortcut and it saved. Seems to only be the text on the menu at this point.

  12. I believe I may have found a bug in CoinManage 2020.

When I use the new Customize feature on the Toolbar, I check the box to use the Text Labels for the standard menu.  Works great....

However, when I close the app then start it up again, the non-text label menu is shown. To re-enable, I have to back into the menu and add it again.

Can anyone else confirm this is a bug (or IIJM)?

    Thanks!

  13. Hi,

So the best way to contact them would be through the options outlined on their contact page - https://www.libertystreet.com/Liberty-Street-Software-Contact-Info.htm

That said, it sounds like you've done that already.

If you have checked your spam folder, and the license key is not there, you can use the Activation Code Retrieval system - https://www.libertystreet.com/Find-Code.htm, find your product, then enter your email address.

I get the same error, just started getting this error today when I tried to open the program.  I am running Windows 10.  Do I need to reinstall the program?  From where?

That would be my assumption yes but I would wait until one of the Admins at Liberty Street get back to you on it. In the past, when I've run into this type of issue, I've uninstalled the program (if it shows up on the list of installed apps), powered off my PC for 15-30 seconds, rebooted then reinstalled.

Also, another thought, make sure you are an administrator on your PC. If you are using your home PC you likely are but to make sure, you can right-click the installer for the app and select "Run as an Administrator" to make sure.

Again, I'd wait to see if Liberty Street comes back with specific instructions on this thread.

So a few US medals, and some GUI changes? ☹️

Not just that:  New report (by Mint Mark), Innovation Dollars now there, improved grade levels on some coins (Ike dollars in particular).

  16. Hi,

Did you reboot your PC after you did the uninstall of 2019?  It could be that some of the files that were deleted were "pending" upon reboot and confused the installer.  If you didn't try that, give it a go and then try to install 2020.
