DrGaryG
I just began collecting Canada. How do I enter this Stamp: FCF4 admin
cliff
You can use the Stamp Data Manager. Select New Category, then click on Canada and enter the new category 'Canada Consular Fee'. Continue by selecting the Stamp tab and enter your new stamp data. Cliff admin

cliff
Well, I cannot find a video so I will show you with pictures. First, open Stamp data manager and click on Canada. You will get a screen like this: Then type in Canada Consular Fee in the 'Category' box. Then it will look like this: Then you select 'Stamps - Image' and get the next screen (I will send another reply with the next two screens--since we are limited to 500kb per reply)
cliff
Well, I guess the whole thread is limited to 500kb. So I will start a new thread titled 'Consular Fee Stamps2' Cliff
cliff
Unfortunately, I am only limited in total to 500kb. So I will continue in words. Select 'Stamps - Image'. Then select 'New'. Now enter in the appropriate information for your stamp. Now select 'OK'. At this new screen you can now select 'Browse' and select your stamp image that is stored on your computer. After you have done that then select 'Close' in the lower left side of the screen and wait for the value table to update (it will take a couple of minutes). Once that is complete it will return to your collections screen. Go to Canada and select the new category of 'Consular Fee Stamps'. You can then add the new stamp to your collection. I hope this helps Cliff
DrGaryG
Phew I got this done. Thanks for your help. Now how do I enter this stamp into the inventory. There doesn't seem to be a Scott # for FCF4 Gary
cliff
When you were in the Stamp Data Manager screen and you selected 'Stamps - Image' and selected 'New', that is where you could have entered the scot number, description, perforation, color, etc. Assuming you now see "Consular Fee Stamps' under Canada when you open the Stamp data manager again, then select 'Consular Fee Stamps' and then select 'Stamps - Image' and select 'New'. Now add the Scott Number of FCF4, the color, perforation, and whatever info you may have for the stamp. You can also add a stored picture of your stamp by selecting 'Browse'. Once you have entered all of your data then select 'Close' and wait for the value table to update. Once that has updated you can return to your collection screen and select the collection that includes your Canada stamps. Select the Consular Fee Stamps under Canada. The stamp, you just entered using Stamp Data Manager, should be available to add your collection. Cliff
DrGaryG
There is no Scott # for these stamps. What do I do now.
cliff
Using 'Stamp Data Manager' you can enter FCF4 in the place of the 'Scott number' box or the 'Other Catalog number' box. You are basically making your own number for the stamp database. I am sure you got the FCF4 number from a Canada specialty catalog. Scott does not have that level of detail for Canada. If you have added the stamp info using the Stamp Data Manager then go back to Stamp Data Manager and select Canada Consular Fee. Select 'Stamps - Image', then select 'Edit' (I am assuming you only have one stamp listed), then add FCF4 to either the Scott number box or the Other Catalog number box. Then select 'Close' and wait for the value table to update. Cliff
