  1. I didn't say that I didn't like the software. But it sounds like you must not have much knowledge of stamps or databases. If you look there are many complains about the incorrect data or duplication of data in several fields.
  2. Why is it no one replies to inquiries in this blog? I have asked several questions, with no response.
  3. Not hearing any replies...
  4. Any reply from my last post? I use Microsoft Access for updating, making MANY changes at once. Using Stamp Manage program would be very tedious and time consuming.
  5. So what does it take to become a trusted contributor? Since i purchased this product I haven't seen a decent db. I have been working on cleaning this db for years. I don't trust any of the updates. I have downloaded them and viewed them. Not much change with them. That is why I have requested options to choose from when updating, i.e. A. Updates to current db B. New additions C. Value updates I would only choose B and C I make changes to via access not thru the GUI *********** So why doesn't anyone answer this? What does it take to become a trusted contributor?

  7. Is there ANYONE that actually monitor this forum? I have looked at posts that haven't been replied to for years. What is the use of this, if there is no response to users. It appears that no one really cares about improving this product. It could be an extremely GOOD one. But, 1 - There are to many contributors that don't understand the importance of standardization. 2 - Don't understand where info should be placed, not duplicating and inserting into several fields. I could go on and one and on... I would also like to hear a reply from someone in this company with a course of action.
  8. How do I apply for a job?
  9. Why do we NEED a database? All that is required is a text file, 1 line for each stamp. When new info is found for a stamp, just add it to the end of the line for that stamp or better yet just create a new line. The info for each stamp can be duplicated within each line. Correct or verification of spelling will not be required. Info for each stamp will not required to be in any logical order. Each stamp could be identified by whatever characters the user wishes, no standard number system, i.e. Scott Numbering system. This list of options could go on and on... Any thoughts?
  10. Are you talking about the Scott # field being out of order? Example 1,1a,10,100,2,3 versus 1,1a,2,3,10,100 Because, the Scott # is an alphanumeric field versus a numeric field.
  11. Additional Request 1 - MyCollections table, under the Centering field, cHingedhange the entries to match Condition ie: Extra Fine to XF Very Fine to VF Fine to F Superb to S Poor to P Average to Avg Fine/Very Fine to F/VF 2 - MyCollections table, under Hinged field I have entries NH & Never Hinged Consistent and standardization
  12. Sorry, wasn't clear with what I am trying to accomplish. I would like someone with Liberty Street to look at this table and hopefully, if approved with listed updates, to incorporate the info into a released version of Stamp Manage
  13. Would anyone HELP? I have updated info in VARIETIES table (200 Mb). If anyone is interested, please let me know. I have attempted several ways, recommended to me, but NO luck.
  14. Yes I agree! There are way too MANY contributors to this dB. Submissions not being verified.
  15. Not the monetary values, but the 'Format' values, ie: Single, pair, PNC, Blk of 4, etc
  16. Is there a depository where past years values are stored?
  17. I see this constantly, 1. Also duplication of data in several fields. 2. Multiple info in one field, repeated in other fields, example: series, description, Scott #, perforations, watermarkmark, color, denomination, etc, 3. series info in variety comments 4. Just overall confusion
  18. Would it be possible to resize windows, i.e. 'Add Stamp' any others, not listed
  19. While adding a stamp, how do I change or delete current values in the 'Format' window? Also, where are those values stored?
