Thanks. === ANSWER You can do it 2 ways, You can print out a series of barcodes using: TOOLS > PRINT BARCODE LABELS WITH SEQUENTAL NUMBERS from the main menu. Enter the info for each barcode and then stick It on the asset. The second method is just to enter all the asset information into the software. This will assign a unique asset number to the asset. Then use the OUTPUT LABELS USING.. command to print out labels for those assets.

Does the database retain a history of how many times an item has been checked in and out? === ANSWERS 1/ Yes you can scan a barcode into the Check In/Check Out dialog and have that item entered as one to be Checked In/Out 2/ It does'nt keep a count but every time you check in/out an asset an entry is made to the Notebook attached to the asset that shows complete details of the check in/ check out. The software also includes reports that will only show changes in Status for an asset.

I have some blocks that are 6 stamps and some that are 4. === ANSWER The Plate Block value should be for the number of stamps that is usually found in a plate block for that variety. We don't "compute" values for stamps like some other programs do. Assuming a block of 4 is worth 4 times the value of a single may work in some instances, but in many others, a block of 4 is very rare and worth much more or can be very common and worth less than the value of 4 stamps.

You can also download the StampManage USA program 30 day trial. The Collections section only shows the countries/categories for stamps that you have entered into 1 of your collections. The collections show the stamps you own, not the stamps in the program pre-defined stamp database. To enter stamps you own, click on the ADD STAMP toolbar button. You will be able to select stamps from all USA stamp sections such as Air Mail and Postage Due, etc. as you enter stamps from different categories to a collection, you will see those categories show up in your collection display. You can setup collections for different individuals, or create a collection for all your Plate Blocks, it is simply a way to group stamps in a manner that works for you. To create a new collection, you can select FILE > NEW > COLLECTION from the main menu, or the CREATE COLLECTION icon on the toolbar. --

Q: am having problems when trying to add stamps to my database. The add window has the stamps ordered in random order rather than in Scott order. How do I fix this? A: You can sort on SCOTT order by clicking on the SCOTT number column header. See attached screen shot.

First try right mouse clicking on the program icon and select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR from the popup menu.then try to activate. The hardware id couldn't be generated due to an error in the COM setup. Re-enable Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) in your group policy editor or reset the local group policy to the default values. Contact your system admin for more information. This error is Windows only. This error can also be caused by the user (or another program) disabling the "Windows Management Instrumentation" service. Make sure the "Startup type" is set to Automatic and then start the service. To further debug WMI problems open the "Computer Management" (compmgmt.msc), expand the "Services and Applications", right click "WMI Control" click "Properties" and view the status of the WMI.
