  1. HI, have you tried using the Create Assets Report.  You will find it under the Reporting menu.  It is used to create simple custom reports.  If you have any issues creating your desired report using this feature, please post the issue and we will look into it.

  2. HI, StampManage used to have a online image search.  Unfortunately the company that creates it is in the Ukraine and they had to pause operations during the war.

I don't know of a software that would take a scan of multiple stamps, separate them and search each image individually.

Without knowing the SCOTT number it will probably take many hours to catalog all those stamps

If you don't care about SCOTT numbers or any catalog numbers, download the demo for StampMate, it looks like it is good for general purpose inventory that doesnt use SCOTT numbers.

Can I request that you allow the CM Record Number to be a field that is visible?  It is vert useful for coins that have the same year and attributes.

HI, yes we will do this for the next update, we are also adding the latest database imported from the Windows version....  The only problem is that the unique record number may be a very large number.  The reason is that multiple people using the same iCloud account could be adding coins at the same time. So we have to generate a random number for the ID which could be quite large.

I have asked some questions also.  I am not sure if the MAC version will ever be as capable as the windows version.   Too bad, MAC version seems cleaner.   I would like to see if we can get the indexing number visible.  In the windows version the CM record number is useful for duplicate coins with the same attributes.  I was hoping for a release of the MAC version that is field for field with Windows version.  Adding your own coins would also be very helpful.

The catalog number, not sure what that does, I guess I could use that as a work around for the CM Record Number.

We will be adding a Database Manager feature to the program in the next few months.  To convert the Windows version data file to the Mac version we:

1/ Convert the COINDESC.MDB file to an SQLLite file.

2/ Rename a few fields, SQLLite does not accept fields with spaces so this is necessary.

3/ Add a few fields to the data file, a DeletedCoins table, etc...

The hard part about writing a conversion feature or program seems to be converting a file from MDB to SQLLite, we are still looking for a workable way to do this, if/when we find a way the conversion program should be doable.

  5. We have some customers getting this decompression error when installing StampManage Deluxe on Windows 11.  We have reproduced it here.  The problem seems to be the Windows Defender anti-virus built in to Windows 11.  If it is temporarily disabled during the install, the install should complete without the error.  Intructions on how to do this is at:

  6. CoinManage should only show sets that are specified by at least one coin record.

So if you want to remove a set, you can go into the VIEW BY section, expand sets and then click on the set you want to remove.

edit the coin that has this set defined, change the set to something else or delete it by making the field blank.

  7. Hi, the program needs the grade of the coin to get a value.  From the screenshot you posted I'm not seeing a grade for that 2023 P Peace dollar.  Note that we don't alway have values for very recent issues.  Would be better to search the coin on eBay to see what the actually selling price is these days.

  8. Hi, so you have added new type called "King Charles III Definitive sets" and wish to set default values for that type?  right now, you could create a "variety" called "type" and change the value table to the values for that "type".

Whenever you are then adding a "King Charles III Definitive sets" select the Type variety and the appropriate grade.

It is a bit complicated to explain with text, if you need further clarification let me know it is a good subject for the next YouTube video.
