I've just downloaded an upgrade to Stamp Manage 2023 DeLuxe to bring it to the 2024 version, apparently everything went on smoothly but when trying to activate after re-boot I get the following error message:

I can no longer use Stamp Manage !!! Version 2023 is gone !!!!
Any help on this ????

HI, there is one scenario where uninstalling is not advisable.  That would be if you have been adding images to the stock image database using the StampManage Database Editor.  Uninstalling an older version would delete those image files.  
We are looking at a way to fix this

I just saw the reply to cliff's post on 12/4 and my question was answered.

I just upgraded from SM 2022 to SM 2024. After the upgrade was completed, I noticed SM 2022 is still installed on my computer. I have plenty of hard drive space; however, I don't want to have an older version installed. Can I uninstall SM 2022 without losing any data for SM 2024?

I modified one of the canned reports for my specific needs, but there are a couple of things I can't figure out.  The report title object prints only on the first page, which is what I want.  However, the next two text objects - page number and date - print on every page.  What I'd like to see is this:
1) Print the page number on every page unless there is only one page.  In that case, suppress it.  Or maybe print something like 'Page [number] of [number of pages].  Ideally, I'd like to understand how to do both.
2) Only print the date on the first page.  Suppress it on the following pages, like is done with the Report Title.
There are a few things in the report designer manual that look like they might be the answer, but I'm not yet familiar enough with the reports to know exactly what to look for.  Can you provide some clarification?  Thanks in advance.

Under CoinManage Setup > Columns > Showing Type, there are two columns that I don't want to see (Defects and Grading Service).  Selecting them and pressing delete removes them from the setup screen, but after restarting CoinManage they're both back.  How can I get rid of them?  Thanks.

I collect perfins and use UDF1 for the perfin ID (e.g. C194.51) and UDF2 to record the company/user of the perfin (e.g. Chase Manhattan Bank).  Unfortunately, I haven't found a way to include these fields in the sort order when creating my own report nor are they available to show as a column in the main view.  Can anyone help? I'm using StampManage USA 2022.  They say 2024 release has improvements in the reporting segment of the program.  I wonder if the improvements include using the user defined fields as mentioned.

I have my CM on my Macbook Air, but I also run a Windows PC alot. Is it possible, with my license, to install on my MAC and also on my PC without violating the EULA? Also, is there a way to have the DB sync across boith applications?

Just upgraded to HomeManage 2024 and the report I am trying to print does not work.  I am attempting to print (to PDF) the report of Items with Images Grouped by Location/Room.  All it produces is a report with headers and which is thousands of pages long.  A similar report, but without the images outputs correctly.  I have uninstalled HomeManage and reinstalled it with the same results.

I have several versions of Stampmanage on my computer. They go back to 2009.  Can they be uninstalled without affecting my current version (2023) and its database?

I have StampManager running on two computers.  I'm trying to clean-up my collections and sell some off in the process.  I'd like to selectively move collections from one computer to the other.  Is there a way to export/import a collection?

I recently inherited 3 enormous stamp collections (My father's, His father's, and my father's best friend's collection, which he purchased from his widow after his buddy passed) and I now have tens of thousands of stamps to catalog and organize and eventually sell.
About 2/3 of the collection is mounted on pages in albums and about 1/3 still needs to be mounted.  My Father and Grandfather both cataloged their collections using Lotus 1,2,3 but I have yet to find one of those spreadsheets.  I know they existed at one point in time, but the last time I actually saw them working on those databases was 15 years ago.  Honestly, even if I had them, I would want a more detailed representation of the collection.
What I am hoping to do is find a program which will identify each of the stamps and create entries for each stamp and allow me to store a scan of my copy of the stamps. Ideally, I would like to find a piece of software that will take a single scan with multiple stamps, automatically separate those images into separate entries and allow me to then put in storage location data.  I understand that might not be available, but I am at least hoping to find a software that will allow me to enter a scanned image of my copy of each stamp and enter information on where I have stamps stored, for example Binder #, Section #, Page #, Row # & Column #. And then to also run reports based on those, i.e. I want to be able to see a list of stamps on Page #3 from Section#2 of Catalog#45.  Of course, valuation is important as well.  Also I need an effective way to keep track of where duplicates are located and how many duplicates I have of certain stamps.
My Father's collection is 95% foreign stamps, while my Grandfather's is 95% USA Stamps, and his friend's is a complete mashup of all sorts of stamps. Each collection has a unique organization strategy. My Father's International collection is very much organized by country and date with blank spaces for stamps he had yet to catalog or still needed, while Grandpa's collection is organized by subject matter only, Space stamps in one album, Peanuts and other cartoon subject stamps in another, etc. and the friend's collection appears to be by age with no care given to subject or country, but literally just age of the stamp.  There are USA stamps right next to stamps from elsewhere, but it seems that all of the stamps on a given page are from the same year.
So, I think what I want to do is catalog everything as is and then go about combining the collections in the best manner I can to maximize their value for sale.  And I have to admit with the amount of work in front of me... I may just find the enjoyment my forefathers did and wind up keeping it...
Can someone tell me what of my desires this software package can do?  Or even if this software can do some of them but you know of a different software that can do the other. I.E. if this can do all of the organization pieces but can't do the single scan automatically separating the separate stamps into separate images, but there is another piece of software that can, any and all help will be very much appreciated.

I purchased Coinmanage UK 2021 some years ago. I have never been able to use the bullion values calculator. My first problem was solved and it now updates and show bullion values. Unfortunately they are in dollars.  I have emailed many times and you say it will be fixed. Have you corrected the problem now? Will it be a patch or an update from the 'Help' dropdown list?

Can I request that you allow the CM Record Number to be a field that is visible?  It is vert useful for coins that have the same year and attributes.

I have asked some questions also.  I am not sure if the MAC version will ever be as capable as the windows version.   Too bad, MAC version seems cleaner.   I would like to see if we can get the indexing number visible.  In the windows version the CM record number is useful for duplicate coins with the same attributes.  I was hoping for a release of the MAC version that is field for field with Windows version.  Adding your own coins would also be very helpful.  
The catalog number, not sure what that does, I guess I could use that as a work around for the CM Record Number.

Doing some downsizing, so I am deleting assets from Home Manage.  I can see the items moving to the "deleted items" folder, which is fine.  When I "right click" and delete an item from the "deleted items" folder, they delete OK, but the corresponding asset image in the "AssetImages" folder does not delete.  Do I need to manually delete these corresponding images?

Looks like I lost a room at some point in time.  It's on a backup from 11-03, but not in my current file.  Is there a way to export/restore the one room into my current file?
