We had some customers report that the program would crash when they performed a backup. This should be fixed and a couple of people with this problem have confirmed the fix. Please download and install again from one of the links below, we are working on adding some new 2015 coins to the database and will issue an update in a couple weeks when that is done. We are going to start by adding the permissions to Active Directory, we have also had several requests to read the Employees into the program by importing them from Active Directory, so we will implement this as well. After this is done we can look at a permissions system that has the same interface but stores the permissions in a table within the program database.

We could'n t reproduce that here with the latest builds. So whenever you go into the PREFERENCES it correctly shows as 30 runs correctly, but the program backs up every Exit? You have the 2015 version? If so, when did you last download?

Recent question regarding StampManage.... Can you please answer a couple of questions for me regarding the Stamp Manage 2015 Deluxe Edition? As I read the information on your website, am I correct in understanding that if your database does not have a particular stamp that has been issued then I can enter the stamp myself and increase the database this way? For example I collect specifically issues from the country of Dominica and your info indicates that there are 407 stamps in your database with 239 images whereas Dominica has issued over 2800 stamps of which I have over 2500. Am I correct that I will be able to increase the specific country database to include all that I have including scanned images plus any that have been issued that I do not yet have? * Yes that is correct. Many of our text & image additions the past couple years have been by customers who entered the data in the way you describe. To submit any changes you have made to use for inclusion in the software, please click on the SUBMIT CHANGES button you will find on the main toolbar. If the above question is yes, is this done through the “Add Stamp Wizard” or “Stamp Data Manager” or are these the same? * Both ways can result in additions to the database. The Stamp Data Manager is the way to enter many stamps in one sitting. The Add Stamp Wizard will add any new variety data or image you add while cataloging the stamp using the wizard. If I have a topical collection, for example SCUBA Diving, does your database for each stamp allow for a code in a specific field to select on so that I could run a report and pull all items from the various countries based on a specific field, or would I have to input a specific database just for the topical collection? * Each stamp can have up to 3 topics assigned to it. You can later view or output reports on the stamps grouped by topic.

Yes, you would use TOOLS > LICENSING > DEACTIVATE LICENSE to deactivate the software on a machine. That will free the activation code up for use on another machine. If you have 3 machines that you use often, email sales@libertystreet.com and we can extend the license to 3 machines, we are not going to make you deactivate constantly to use it on the 3rd machine.

Hi, Yes the activation code you receive will allow you to install it on 2 computers.

Hi, if you click in the year list, which makes it active to receive keyboard input... ,. then type the YEAR using your keyboard, you should see the list scroll to the first variety in the list that has that particular year. Let me know if you have any problems using this feature.

The thing is once you drag from the Want List to a collection, don't you need the ADD COIN dialog to come up in order to fill in the details? You can add coins that are not in the master database by using the COINMANAGE DATABASE EDITOR feature under the TOOLS menu, If this does not answer your question feel free to follow up on this thread.

Hi, well the program is designed to remove a variety from the Want List once you add it to your inventory. Dragging from the Want List to a collection? That is a good idea we will try to implement it in the next month or so for a free update.

Hi, I think if you look at the majority of questions on this forum in the last few months you will see they are answered within a few hours. When we get a question from a customer that may be of concern to others, you will notice we post it here or as a new item on our support page... One other item, check out our competitors web-sites in the coin, stamp and bank note collecting software field. Most of the companies DO NOT EVEN HAVE forums in which questions can be answered for customers. For example, a quick search reveals a coin collecting software program from a company that has been around a long, long time, sells a product for almost twice as much as ours, does not have a forum or even a support page for frequent questions, Actually they do have a support page that say simply "they will be updating this page at some point", well when is that going to happen? We have spent quite a bit of time trying to improve our support pages and reply to questions faster. That includes instructional videos which we have found are quite helpful to customers to explain certain tasks...

The PostMark City list is generated when you start the program. You would need to edit the stamp that has the mis-spelled postmark city and correct it. The mis-spelled item should not appear the next time you run the program. Enumerate the :"Postmark City" section in the View tab to find the mis-spelled items. (see attached image)

Hi, you can't do formulas in User defined fields. However, the report designer has support for many math functions and you could create a calculated field that would be based on your formula. I would recommend you take a long read of the functions found in the Report Designer User Guide. You can find this guide in PDF format in the folder where you installed StampManage. You can also open it from within the program, see the Report Designer Guide menu option under the HELP menu.

Hi, we are hard at work on a user permissions feature that would be based on the Active Directory. The program could populate the list of employees from the Active Directory and would use the same sign-on info as the Active Directory. Additional permissions specifice to AssetManage would be stored so you could specify who can do what within the software. This feature will be a free upgrade to any users of the latest current version of AssetManage Standard or Enterprise. Please let me know if this will work for you, comments from other users are also welcomed.

You don't have to buy the program at full price again, but you would need to upgrade at the reduced upgrade cost. It is not mandatory to upgrade, you can continue using the version you have or upgrade in a future year at no penalty. Each upgrade will bring the program completely up to date.
