Hi, yes I believe it should be F-15, we will change the wording for the next free update. Right now you can only choose one or the either regarding B.V. We can look at a way to accomodate both. When an entry is deleted you would need to compress the program database to free up the unique ids. This is not something we would want to do after every delete as it can take 20 seconds or more. We will try to add a compress database option, maybe as a separate utility that can be used outside of CoinManage. If you have Microsoft Access it is possible to open the COINDESC.MDB file and compress it, make sure you backup before doing this.

1/ Hi, the reason we don't do that is some users would rather see a separate entry for each coin. Let's say for example the 4 coins were purchased from different dealers. If their was only 1 listing with quantity 4 their would be no way to specify the different dealer for each individual coin. If you are seeing duplicate entries and not sure why this I happening.. it is probably because you are pressing the APPLY button and then the OK button in the ADD COIN dialog. Each of these actions will add the currently specified coin to inventory. Either simply click the OK button or choose the CLOSE button after you have clicked on APPLY. 2. We have seen this issue a couple times. LIke most Windows applications, CoinManage puts the data file in a folder under the MY DOCUMENTS folder. If that folder is set to read only there will be problems. Do you have an image of the stamp? If so, check out the LIGNUP stamp search program, it will search many stamp collecting sites for your image and in many cases will return results that will show you the SCOTT number and other information.

But you can't enter this info from the ADD STAMP dialog, you would need to edit the stamp manage database using the STAMP DATA MANAGER and add / edit the variety notes for the SCOTT # variety. Many of the USA stamps in our database have extensive variety notes courtesy of customers.

The CategoryName field is set to have a maximum length of 50 characters in the database. I wish we could simply set it to a higher number but there are thousands of customers using older versions of the software and that could cause problems upgrading. So for now we have just limited the amount of text that can be entered into the name field to 50 characters. It should have been limited before so no more than 50 characters could be entered.

Question came up yesterday... "Can we import exising images into AssetManage"? Yes in the import dialog you can map a field to the Image 1, 2, 3 or 4. Note the image column in the file to be imported must contain the FULL PATH of the image to be imported. See attached screen shot.

Hi, we have a new version of HomeManage coming out in the next few days. We are addressing all the issues reported on this forum recently. We also have a couple nice new features. One will be a WebCam capture that will let you take photos from your WebCam while using HomeManage. This feature will hopefully become popular with users that have the excellent Microsoft Surface 3 tablets. You will be able to run HomeManage on your Surface, walk around your house and easily take pictures + enter data for each item you wish to inventory. If you have a small laptop, you could possibly purchase a cheap WebCam (Just bought a Logitech C270 for less than $30). Attach it to the top of your laptop to act as a forward facing camera... then use Home Manage to take pictures and inventory.

so this happens with a scott number that is definitely on the Mystic site? for example SCOTT number 73 USA? the button is disabled if the USE MYSTIC boolean value is not true. This may have happened when you updated the software, any chance you can get us your STAMPDATA.MDB file we can test it.

Hi, that sounds correct. The program tries to make sure each item has a unique Asset #. The program uses the uniqueid you mention to name the photo filenames. This unique id cannot be changed by the user. It is an AUTONUMBER field in the database file and is guaranteed to be unique. Please note that when you delete an asset it is simply moved to the DELETED ITEMS folder.
