Yes, that is the set.  The coins from the set have been individually graded by NDC.  The reverse proof is graded at PF70 and the enhanced proof is graded at SP70.  Am I supposed to still use the set designation for them or enter the coins individually since they are graded by NDC?  I was trying to find a listing for the coins individually and found one for the reverse proof but couldn't find one for the enhanced proof (SP70).

I'm a new user and entering my collection.  I have a 2013 West Point Eagle Set and the 2 coins have been graded by NGC.  One is the reverse proof rated PF70 UC and the other is rated SP70 Enhanced Finish Early Releases.  I can't find a listing for the SP70 coin.

I followed up with repeating the information on April 5 but did not send it through the forum but directly to techsupport@libertystreet.com.     I originally sent you an email on 10 February, 2022 in StampManage Support letting you know that when I attempted to open StampManage 2022 I got the following messages   Too few parameters. Expected 1. Too few parameters. Expected 2. Yellow triangle with an Exclamation point inside and a number 3061 below Yellow triangle with an Exclamation point inside and a number 3062 below These appear consecutively as I clicked on the originally appearing item.   My name is Bruce Regenthal, I have been a subscriber since pre 2010 and my email is triaqua@comcast.net. You responded on 10 Feb  and asked whether I had upgraded from a very old version-which I did not having upgraded each year to StampManage and CoinManage since about 2009 and I just figured out how to do an internet backup-if WINZIP file compression counts as that to get it under the file size limitation for sending files. If this does not work for you, can you suggest any other options, like maybe sending you a flash drive with the file on it not compressed or any other choices. I have over 7000 stamp and coin items on these 2 programs and use Access to make file additions so that I do not overwrite changes I have added like designer names, manufacturing quantities, added images, and spaces between the beginning of the stamp designations (i.e. "C" (Airmail stamps, etc to make sure 1-9 come before 10-99, and they sort numerically before 100+, etc . The same issue presents itself when entering the "SP" designation for the souvenir pages of which there are over 1000 )  in order for the fields to sort correctly alpha-numerically. I also note that you sometimes have duplications where customers have sent you "corrections" by doing what I just told you I was doing and your designations remain like Hunting stamps from states that read  AK5,AK6,AK7,AK8,AK9,AK10,AK11,.... and AK 5,AK 6, AK 7, AK 8, AK 9, AK10, AK11...--which are actually duplicates, but don't appear so when the columns are sorted, by clicking at the top of the field or using the manual sort feature for ascending or descending order. I have also taken all the normally "Quantity produced" fields and tried to look up quantities produced and fill them in where they are missing and then align them up so that the right most number aligns down a column and add appropriate commas for separation and convert all appropriate millions, billions, to all be just numerical numbers so they can be sorted appropriately.  For now-once you get the file and this note could you just acknowledge receipt-so I know it got there successfully and later let me know if you can do anything co correct the file to open up appropriately or if there is something I can do manually to correct the problem without your intervention.

Please excuse if this has been covered in another post as I cannot find an answer:
I purchase a set of stamps for X cost.  When entering the individual stamps in the set to the database, how do you properly allocate the single price paid to the individual items for amount paid?  Do you just create an entry for the set?
    Thanks

I just recently updated to the 2022 version.  However, I cannot access any of my previous collection.  I have no idea why this is occurring.  Admittedly, it has probably been a year or two since I used the program, but previously, it always worked instantly each time I called up the program.  I'm concerned that my entire collection which I entered previously is "gone".  I sure hope not...

    Hi mipalmers
Madgascar was under British Rule 1885-1886.
After 1886 it was under French Rule. Stamps from Madagascar are found under "Malagasy Republic"
    Hope this helps

When I am working in South Vietnam. when I go to add stamp panel, there are no thumbnails or main image in viewer.   They are present in the collection view.  It just states :image not available" but they obviously are.
The file size limit makes it impossible to attach an image.

admin reacted to dealio in New feature: allow storage of file attachments similar to images
As I have used the software over the years, backing up the database and image files has been a good practice. However there are other documents that I typically have linked to asset records which are vital for maintenance or other purposes. The issue is that the application does not allow me to store those documents within the program's data directories, which makes backing up the contents (everything associated/linked to an asset) a tedious task, since I would have to go to each asset's links to find the location of the documents that I've linked to that asset to back them up. Restoring would be equally as tedious. So I've resorted to a manual solution that keeps all associated documents in a "Documents" folder at the same level as the "Images" folder in the folder hierarchy. For any asset that I want to link documents to, I create a subdirectory with the asset's asset number and place the documents I want to link to that asset in the folder. I then open properties for the asset and link the documents in the new folder to the asset. The advantage is clear. When I want to backup the database, I only have to select one folder and everything is backed up.
Would such a feature be universally appealing enough to add it to the application? An add on to that feature would be to allow me to locate the document I want to link to, but have a checkbox option to make the application copy the file into a hierarchy as described above, thus containing all linked documents under one parent (or grandparent, etc.) folder.
    Thanks for considering this
    David

Outstanding idea.  I've already done what you're suggesting; however, having it built into the program's backup process makes a lot of sense.  Here's what I did:
First off, I have all data sub-directories stored under a "HomeManageData" directory (this is actually stored on an external hard drive I use for data files).  I added a sub-directory titled "Attachments."  I copy all the PDF files (or other types) I'll be using as attachments to this sub-directory.  By doing so, I have ALL related data in one place.  Now when I'm adding/editing an inventory item and want to link it to an attachment, I go to my "\HomeManageData\Attachments\" sub-directory to create the link.
I backup my whole system daily so my HomeManage data is automatically backed up.  I also have my backup software configured to backup just certain data files every third day.  So again I'm protected (two major crashes over the years have taught me the need to backup on a regular basis).  While all this is automated, and trouble-free, having it built-in to the program makes a lot of sense.

Is this a bad idea for me to do?

I did a test, putting an item in a box and then putting that box in another box.  It worked, but am I possibly causing any problems by doing this?
In the Assets table, it looks like the Parent asset is all that's recorded, so it seems OK.

The values and some of the picture of stamps, in the United Nation Geneva are wrong. The values should be in "F.S" for Swiss Franc. Some of the values and picture are cents.
In you values for Geneva you have both US and Geneva.

admin reacted to Ray in Bullion Coins Difficult to locate
Bullion coins for each year are mixed together in no logical fashion - at least on my computer. Recommend they all be grouped together so that all American Eagle Silver Proof are together; all $5 Gold Eagle, and $25 Gold Eagle coins are grouped together. I have tried using the sort function on that column and it doesn't help. So I have yet been able to locate the normal or regular issue 2020 Silver Uncirculated American Eagle or the 2021 Type II AE Silver uncirculated. There are a huge variety of bullion coins such as First Strike, T1 Emergency Issue Struck at Philadelphia,  T1 Emergency Issue Struck at San Francisco, and Type 1 Advanced Release Magnum Opus. I have no clue how to identify these varieties and the listing for the coin does not provide a means to identify them. I admit I am not a seasoned professional but I suspect there are many like me who are suffering through this difficulty.

So what does it take to become a trusted contributor? Since i purchased this product I haven't  seen a decent db. I have been working on cleaning this db for years. I don't trust any of the updates. I have downloaded them and viewed them. Not much change with them. That is why I have requested options to choose from when updating, i.e.
    A. Updates to current db
    B. New additions
    C. Value updates
    I would only choose B and C

I'm a new (2 days) user and I think (welI know) I made a mistake. In the (Add new coin) pop up I clicked "apply" accidently. I then showed one coin.  So I highlighted the on line and deleted it. However when I deleted it it does not refresh so that I can enter this coin should I obtain one. I guess I should have taken the word DELETE literally. Is there a way that I can get this coin (1991D Kennedy half dollar to return to the available coin list? Sorry to be so dumb.  🙂
