Got it to work somehow, uninstalled it a few times and reinstalled it in a few different locations.
Had something to do with that Open Exclusively by another user error.

I think I have it fixed.  It had to do with the stampdata.mbd

I received my Disks for Stamp Manage Deluxe.  I have a question regarding the Additional Images Disk #2. 
Are any of the additional images pertaining to stamps from the USA?  If the answer is no, can I just stop after loading Disk #1?  I am only collecting USA.
Thanks in advance for any information you can pass along about the contents of Disk #2.

When I delete a coin the images remain in the Images file. Why? How to remove from my images without removing from coin mange base images.

Hi, select:
FILE > GO TO REPORTS FOLDER
from the main menu.
Then delete the files with the name of the report you created.

Is it possible to update the reporting data source so that the relationship between Attachments and Asset tables are shown?  Similar to the way Asset and NotebookItem are displayed.
I would like to create a report that displays the path for the Attachments associated with my Assets.
I've attached a picture of Select Data Source options in the "Create A Report" tool I was using as reference

Hi all.
First time here.
I have StampManage USA 2017 and have just purchased the 2018 upgrade for 19.95.
Download ok and install seemed ok, but at launch all I get on the screen is the opening logo.
No program launches.  I'm running: New PC win 10 home 64 bit.
Any ideas?

I just purchased CoinManage 2018 and am starting to try to learn to use it.
I am starting to enter my "presidential dollars" and have a bunch of questions:
1)  When I go to add a coin, there is a huge number of "varieties" for the coins shows.  is there a way to set it so that I don't see all the varieties, but only just the "regular issue" Mint and Proof coins?  it is making it very difficult to find the "correct" coin to add since there are dozens and dozens for some of the same same date/president/mint mark.

2) Some of the presidential dollars are listed with their mintages, but many are not.  Why do some have mintages and others don't?
3)  At the top of the list of all the Presidential Dollars, there are about a dozen entries for the dates in "parentheses" that cause these dates to sort to the top and out of order with the rest of the dates.  Why are these dates in parentheses and causing them to sort incorrectly?
4) When attempting to find my coins to add, is there any way to "search" through the database of coins?  If I use the "search' feature, it only searches through "my collection".  But I want to for example search for "2009 Polk Presidential" and go to those coins to find the one to add to my collection.  Scrolling through the whole list of all the Presidential coins is very time consuming.
5)  For the Presidentials, some of the entries appear to be listed with the PCGS numbers, and some don't. For example, the "G. Washington 2007 P" has the PCGS number associated with it.  But the "J. Madison 2007 " does not have a PCGS number associated with it.  Why is this?
 
That's it for now, but I'm sure I will have more questions as I start testing out more features of the software.

I am using StampManage2017, I have been using StampManage for at least 10 years.
I use the "Location" property/field to track the album holding each stamp, selecting it usually when the stamp is entered to the database or by double clicking the stamp from the main screen and selecting from the "Stamp Properties" > "Additional Information" tab.
Situation: Canada #4 album (for example) is about to burst so I split the contents, moving half into a new binder which becomes Canada #5. I then go to "View By.." > "Location", select the Canada#4. Then it is easy to select the group of moved stamps, right-click to "Properties" and change the location in the "Current Location" drop-down list, or add a new location. This can also be done from the main screen by selecting multiple stamps.
Problem: The change does not show in the main screen of the program. The "Location" column will be empty. If I double-click on a single stamp to "Properties>Additional information" the location is correct. Click OK to the properties and only now will the location display in the "Location" column of the main screen. There is a disconnect somewhere between setting location in the group properties form and displaying the property in the main window. Re-starting the program does not help. I don't know if this happens with other properties/fields on the group properties form.
I could select/double-click each affected stamp one at a time but that defeats the purpose of the group properties form.
Is there a solution?

Hello, I just started using StampManage 2018.  I only collect sheets of US stamps.  When the Scott# is the only stamp on a sheet, the current mechanism works fine.  However, for stamps that have multiple Scott #'s on a sheet how am I supposed to enter all the Scott#'s into the database but only have them price out for one sheet?  Currently, if there are multiple Scott #'s (i.e. 1827-1830) the software now reports that I have four sheets of stamps (one for each Scott#), when I only have one.  If I were to just put in the first Scott#, I wouldn't show that I own the other stamps.  I couldn't find anything on this forum or on the YouTube videos that addresses this situation. 

When selecting "Completed Ebay Auctions" from the drop down off of a stamp, an invalid URL is generated.  http://search-completed.ebay.com/search/search.dll?GetResult&catref=C3&ht=1&sortproperty=metaendsort&query=749&from=R10&category1=261&completedonly=1  This results in the following error that does not occur with the other EBay searches for current auctions.

Is there a users guide available for the CoinManage Deluxe 2017? When is the next update available and what issues will the new update resolve?

When i am in coin propreties and i enter ex;$1.00 in the value box and clic enter a pop up box appear "enter a currency" WHAT TO DO to enter a oder value.

Is there a recommend photo size for uploading an asset photo?
When I attach a photo I get a smaller image on a large black background.
I have guessed at resizing the image but do not see any change.
Here is what I see:
UPDATE:   The photo was a TIF.   I changed it to a JPG and it now fills the entire screen.
I tested with another TIF and found same result.   But in the process I discovered another issue.
Although I click on an image and select "Delete", the image disappears but reappears when I 
close the software and come back for a new session.   Why is it not staying deleted?
I will try deleting the file on my hard drive.

 

On some of the pull down menus like "format" in order to add a different type of stamp, you merely type in the name. I have tried this with the "Gum" pull down and the new term does not record itself for repeated use. Is there a way I can edit this to "add" a new term? Are the other menu pull downs of the Boolean nature which can't be edited?

Is there any plans to add a mobile app.  I don't want to maintain, but it is hard to carry my computer when I am shopping for coins.  I am looking for a good way to have my coins on my phone so I can validate if I have the coin or not.

There are only limited stamps listed under Croatia and none in 1952 which is the period I am looking for.  There were many stamps issued and still sold so they have to be somewhere but I can't find them. They do not even seem to be listed in Scotts 2018.  Should I give up for now / create my own entry or am I missing their location?

Looking for suggestions for setting up assets that have multiple components to cost.   For example:   Purchase a print for $200, Have it framed for another $300.   I have receipts for both elements and would scan them into the system.  I can just set up $500 in the Total Cost field and view the images to see the components but I would like to use the Notebook or user fields to reflect the individual costs while having the Total Cost field reflect the sum,.   Can this be done or there recommended approaches?
Similar question:   I would like to confirm that the Quantity field is not used in cost calculations.  i.e. there is no Unit Cost field, only the total cost.    I converted data moving unit cost into Base Cost and Total Cost into Total Cost.   For example qt=5  base cost=10 and total cost=50.   I believe that is incorrect and I should reconvert, ignoring my old system's Unit Cost.

Disregard.   I used Ctl A to select all and deleted.

I notice you have some of the VAM Morgan Dollar Varieties, but I would not find all of them.  Is there plans to add the entire list?

Database can be accessed by multiple use at same time if sql server can be accessed via ip address.

I have encountered somewhat the same problem.  In my case, it seems to be intermittent - that is, I don't think it occurs every time you add stamps, but when I encounter it, it seems quite persistent.  I have had some luck simply closing the current window and re-opening, but it sometimes takes several tries before StampManage displays the correct stamp.  This is not a solution, but I will back you up on the fact that this condition exists.

What about Update procedure? When i am clicking on update it is doing nothing, or we can install latest version available on site?

I am trying to figure out if I can add collectable coin books. and supplies and tools pertaining to a coin collection??
