First of all I think you have a great coin program. I really like it. Thanks for working on it.
I have a German coin that is a 5 Reichsmark coin. I want to add it to the database but I am stuck. When I use the database editor I can't add a denomination. Could you tell me how I can do it?
    Thanks,

When I entered my US 1853 3 cent coin, it says the mintage was 1,140,000. But I researched this and believe it should be 11,400,000. I could be wrong.
I'm using the 2015 Deluxe edition.
I've only had the program a week but love it so far!
    Kind regards.

Apology if this has already been addressed. I searched the forum with no luck.
It appears to me that the 1911-1927 UK 3 pence shows the incorrect reverse image. I believe the image should show a crowned numeral 3. The reverse die was changed in 1927. I'm no expert and could be wrong.
I'm using the 2015 Deluxe edition I downloaded last week.
    Kind regards.

    Here is my issue:
Lets assume I have inventoried items such as 10 x Wrenches, Adjustable; 10 x Screwdrivers, Flathead; 10 x Screwdriver, Phillips; 10 x Screws, Metal, 3/4", #8 and I want to create a kit that contains them called "Maintenance Kit".
If I go to Linked Assets under "Maintenance Kit" and set the above inventoried assets as child assets to the "Maintenance Kit" all is well.
However, I have yet to find a way to set a specific number of the child assets to place in the kit and to subtract that number from the initial child asset quantity,
In other words, I would like to inventory 10 Wrenches, Adjustable. When I create a "Maintenance Kit" with a child asset of 1 Wrenches, Adjustable, I would like to add JUST ONE Wrenches Adjustable to the "Maintenance Kit" and subtract that ONE Wrenches, Adjustable from the quantity at hand for the 10 Wrenches, Adjustable that are currently inventoried.
I would also like to be able to return that ONE Wrenches, Adjustable back to the initially inventoried set and/or set that ONE Wrenches, Adjustable as destroyed, damaged, etc.
Is this possible? If not, I am afraid that our company will not be able to use AssetManage; we were hoping to purchase the $3995.00 Enterprise Site License but I cannot justify that purchase if AssetManage cannot provide this type of kit-building mechanism. Thanks much for any help you can provide!

Hi, we will be issuing a free update to the program in the near future. It will update your database to the latest issues and include any new files that have been included by us.

When I add items with images I am usually continuing to add items using images from the same folder or a folder near to the one I previously used to add items. I would like the program to remember which location was last used to add images, like when you select Load Image from the Item Picture(s) dialog. Actually, I would be satisfied if both options remembered the same "last used" folder, since for me it is the same one.

My husband and I were interested in you HomeManage Inventory software for our homes and boats and wondered if the software can be used on two networked computers? I have tried the demo and it looks like you can map where you want the data to be stored.
Is there such a thing as two license deals on this software and can two people use the program at the same time (of course on different computers).
    === ANSWER
Yes, you just need to store the data file on a shared folder on your network. Both users would point to this data folder. Specify the network folder during installation, you can also change it later in the program PREFERENCES. You would need to purchase 2 licenses of HomeManage.

1/ Is the data I enter into Home Manage stored internally or on a cloud?
The data is stored in a file called ASSETS.MDB, you can set the directory where this file resides to somewhere on the network, an external drive, your hard drive, etc... The file is Microsoft Access format and it can be opened using Microsoft Access. You DO NOT have to have Access on your machine to use the program.
2/ Can we have Liberty Street customize the program for us? As in, can we add categories, fields, change currency, etc?
The program lets you add new categories, there are over 100 user defined fields. The currency used by the program is the currency set in your Windows control panel. The program is not "multi-currency" so you can' for example store the cost in USD or CAD at the same time.
3/ Are there any additional fees that I should expect in the future (upgrades, updates)?
The 2014 upgrade is free to anyone who purchased since Jan 1. 2014. It would cost 19.95 to upgrade to a major new version. Updates to the exsiting version are free to download if you have purchased that version.

Hi, right now there is only 1 want list allowed. We will look at adding the ability to create additional want lists, but it could get tricky as the want list would probably have to be associated with a collection. The reason is the program will remove a stamp from a want list if it is entered into inventory. This would get complicated with multiple want lists.

I was just wondering if there was a way to create either separate Want Lists or additional Want Lists.
For example, I keep separate collections for mint and used stamps of the same countries. Naturally as I do this I sometimes acquire stamps in one collection but are wanted in the other or are holes in both. It would be nice to create different want lists for both.
Is this possible or do you have any suggestions on how to do this?
    Thanks,
    Richard

I would like to enter the size of a stamp or sheet (width and height). Are there fields to enter this data as I could not find any?
If not an alternative would be to enter this formation in the "User Defined Felds" but the field names are simply "Field 1" and "Field 2". Would it be possible to incorporate the ability to rename these fields to anything the user desired such as "Width" an "Height"?
    Regards,

Can you do complex formulas in the UDF's?
I keep a separate MS Excel workbook to track some data & I want to try & calculate that data within SM.
Here is a sample from my workbook https://docs.google....dit?usp=sharing
I like to see what percentage of SCV I paid for items & also calculate auction starting price at 40% of SCV.
Lets say I bought 10 stamps from EBay for $10 total, (I could just say I paid $1 each, but that doesn't show me any good deals, whereas the % of SCV paid will), first I put the total paid in cell G2 (I was thinking UDF #1 in SM for this), then I fill in Scott #'s & SCV in col A & B. the workbook totals the B col & sticks it in G1.
    Col C auto-populates using " SCV / Col B SUM " ( Cell B# / G1 )
    Col D auto-populates using " % of SCV * Total Paid " ( Cell C# * G2 )
    Col E auto-populates using ( B# - ( B# * 40% ))
More or less I just want to know if (& how) to assign a manual total of an invoice to UDF #1 & see UDF #2 populate the % of SCV Paid & UDF #3 show the 40% of SCV I use for Auction prices.
I hope all this makes sense, I don't really understand the math, my father-in-law showed me the formula & he has been using it for 20-25 years now.

I have scanned lots of stamps into my database.
However yesterday I uncounted a problem with New Hebrides issue, Churchill Issue, Scott 62 to 65.
I used the same 96dpi settings and get an irregular wavy line.
I've a)increased the dpi setting as high as 4800
placed the stamps in a different position on the scanner
and get the same wavy line each time.
Today the scanner works perfectly for other stamps, being scanned in.
However the problem is still there for Scott 62 to 65.
Any SM viewer got any suggestions?
The last image is borrowed from the internet, this is how I want my scan to look.

    === QUESTION
Before I purchase, I am trying to determine from your online manual if AssetManage has the ability to assign barcodes to objects that do not possess barcodes by default, such as Artwork. I see that there is an option to scan and print barcodes but nothing about assigning barcodes. What I would like to do is create generic barcodes, print and affix to multiple artwork. Is this possible with AssetManage? If so, what section of the manual do I find these instructions? Thanks.
    === ANSWER
You can do it 2 ways, You can print out a series of barcodes using:
TOOLS > PRINT BARCODE LABELS WITH SEQUENTAL NUMBERS
from the main menu. Enter the info for each barcode and then stick It on the asset.
The second method is just to enter all the asset information into the software. This will assign a unique asset number to the asset. Then use the OUTPUT LABELS USING.. command to print out labels for those assets.
