  1. Hi, sorry you would have to install the program again to the same folders. It should not take nearly as long to install as it will not need to write the vast majority of image files.
  2. sorry we are working through many emails from last week, can you forward the email to libertyst@gmail.com I will get right on it.
  3. Hi are you sure the version you downloaded is the same as the one you had the code for? A newer version will require a new code.
  4. === QUESTION I have coinmanage on my desktop and my laptop with the data and images on a flash drive, When i update do I have to do both systems. Can I install on flash drive so I can minimize potential problems? === ANSWER you should not install the software directly to a flash drive. The best setup is to point the data folder and images folder to the flash drive and switch the flash drive to whatever computer you are using. A better solution is to use an external hard drive as they are faster, a 1TB external hard drive on Amazon.com is quite cheap these days.
  5. Hi, Yes the software will work fine on Windows 10. Will update our web-site accordingly.
  6. there is a separate denomination field in the SEARCH dialog. If you enter 2c in there and then "jackson" in the text search field does it work?
  7. Hi, I believe I remoted to your computer and the image problem was related to not you not having permissions to write to the Images folder and was corrected. The Preview problem is probably related we are trying to verify that. To Run StampManage (and many other Windows programs) you MUST be able to write to the MY DOCUMENTS folder and the Windows Registry. We seem to see quite a few customers who don't have these permissions for some reason. Often after upgrading to Windows 10.
  8. Thanks for the good idea. We can put in a feature that would allow you to manually increase the Replacement Cost by a certain percentage. Just a simple dialog box with the percentage increase/decrease at the input.
  9. Below is a recent tech support chat. HomeManage needs to be able to write to the Windows Registry to store the backup folder location and other similar settings. If you install the program for ALL USERS ON THIS COMPUTER it is possible you may not have permission to write to the Windows Registry unless you run the program with Admin rights. == User I can't seem to get Home Manage Inventory 2015 to set the default backup to my "G:\Backup" flash drive. It keeps defaulting to an "F" drive which I don't have. == Liberty Street Software: you are trying to change the setting in the program, you have the 2015 edition? == User Yes. I holds the setting I set until I exit and then defaults to the wrong back drive when opened again == Liberty Street Software: sounds like you dont have permission to write to your Windows Registry, the program needs permission cause thats where it stores the folder preferences == User Please explain how this can be corrected. I am the sole user of my computer, and other programs such as Quicken and TurboTax allow me to set the default backup without any problem. == Liberty Street Software: they may not store the settings in the windows registry, one minute when you setup the software did you specify that it be installed only for the current user or for anyone using that machine? == Mario: I just did an update to see if that would help and set it for any user. I don't recall, however, how originally installed it several months ago. By the way, I input data frequently with no problem and manually back up to the flash drive, but I have to redirect it to the flash drive each time. == Liberty Street Software: try running the program as administrator, right mouse click on the program icon and select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR from the popup menu == User That worked. Thanks. I'll print this chat and keep it for future reference. Have a great New year.
  10. This is for the Deluxe full demo download? We think the problem is that download is over 4gb and there is some 4gb limit with Windows 10. Can you try downloading our New Demo. We have a customer with your problem who can now install the demo after downloading this latest demo.
  11. can you check out for info on how to do this.
  12. Hi, we are going over this for the new 2016 edition of StampManage Deluxe, will notify you on how to get an updated version when it is ready for use.
  13. We have had a couple customers who had upgraded to Windows 10. After upgrading, their MY DOCUMENTS folder was set to read-only. This causes problems with any software such as ours that stores data files under this folder. We had a user with this problem, here is the solution he found: Thanks for help. Thought I had removed read only but still there when I reopened properties. Little more complicated to do than I thought. If interested here is link that shows you how to remove “Read Only”. http://superuser.com/questions/866120/cant-remove-read-only-attribute-from-folder-windows-8-1, but you probably already know this. Works on windows 10!
  14. Hi, you would use the INTERNET BACKUP / RESTORE features. They save and then retreive the backup file that is stored on our secure internet cloud storage.
  15. 1) You don't have russian-language interface of your program, do you? Hi, sorry we don't have a Russian version. We are working on a French version but that is no help to you. 2) When i add, for example, location in russian at the top i see characters: I think if we change the program to UNICODE those characters may come out correctly, will have to invesigate. 3) Finally i want to export all the information to Excel. I saw a great number of reports in menu "Reporting", but could i make my own report? To choose fields (for example, description, category, location, room, image ...) that i want to add to the report by myself? Sure you can make your own report, please see and for more info on how to do this.4) In the main window i see fields Image, AssetNum., Category, BrandName... Can i add or remove some fields from this window? Yes, select TOOLS > PREFERENCES then choose the COLUMNS tab to change what columns you see
  16. === VARIOUS QUESTIONS FROM A PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMER I am interested in purchasing some of your products (StampManage, CoinManage with CurrencyManage, and Lignup). My first question is concerning using all of the products on my main desktop computer and my laptop computer: I use my laptop when I enter the actual data, but my desktop to create, print reports, and backup my databases. Can I buy one package license and install it on both computers? I would rather not have to purchase 2 licenses , since I only use one at a time. *** each license is good for 2 computers so you only need the 1 license My second question is concerning the CoinManage and CurrencyManage software: I have coins and currency from all around the world. I also have gold coins from all around the world. Many of my coins are ancient coins ( BC and early AD coins). Do these software programs work with ancient coins and non US coins? *** CoinManage deluxe has USA, Canada and UK coins listed. CurrencyManage has USA and Canadian banknotes. You can add data from other countries yourself, the program is not really designer for ancient coins. My last question is concerning Lignup software: Will it work only with stamps or will it also work with coins and currencies? *** The search is only for stamps at this point. Check out the demo, it does a great job of identifying stamps all over the internet. Thanks, in advance, for your help with this.
  17. Hi, this happens every time you run the program? can you do an internet backup and let us know when you do so. This will let us test with your data file.
  18. === QUESTION I recently purchased the Stamp Manage USA 2015 and would like to know if I enter, say #315 and later enter #201, will the #201 entry fall into its proper place before #202? If not, how does one accomplish such a feat? === ANSWER You just need to sort on the scott number column to do that - click on header at the top SCOTT number. please subscribe to your stampmanage channel for videos on how to do this and other tasks: https://www.youtube.com/c/StampManageStampCollectingSoftwareForCollectors?sub_confirmation=1 From: liberty-street To: mrpjr0247 Subject: Re: I have a question about using my item or I want to send the seller a message: mrpjr0247 sent a message about CoinManage USA 2015 Coin Collecting Inventory Software / Program Values Catalog #301764406862 Sent Date: Nov-18-15 12:12:45 PST Dear mrpjr0247, hI, You just need to sort on the scott number column to do that - click on header at the top SCOTT number. please subscribe to your stampmanage channel for videos on how to do this and other tasks: https://www.youtube.com/c/StampManageStampCollectingSoftwareForCollectors?sub_confirmation=1 - liberty-street
  19. Ok we will take a look at this for the upcoming 2016 edition. We have a lot of stamps to add to the database.
  20. === QUESTION I was looking to purchase your program and have been viewing many of your videos on YouTube, they are very helpful. I see where your software can list the bullion values or the current numismatic values. Maybe I missed it but… Can it show both values on any of the reports along with the price paid? For example if I had some older half dollars that contained silver, maybe when they were entered into the collection the bullion value maybe was higher than the numismatic value… but perhaps at some point in time either because the coin may have increased in numismatic value or perhaps the bullion value has dropped that currently it has higher numismatic value. So I would think it would be beneficial on some reports to see both values along with price paid if they all were available. Also, on coins that contain perhaps several bullion values say silver and copper does it give the total bullion value or just say the silver? === ANSWER I think the solution would be to have a new report variable called Coin.BullionValue that will show the bullion value of the coin, you can also then show the value. Currently, the software will assign the value of a coin to the bullion value if it is higher than the value for that grade.
  21. I just purchased Coin Manage. I watched one of the videos and read the help pdf file, but I still need some help with understanding the price and value information. Please see attached pictures for proof sets I was entering. In Screenshot_1, looking at the 1981 proof set, the top table in picture #1 say the current value is $7.25, but the bottom table says the current value is $21.75. Why are there two current values? === The $7.25 value is for EACH proof set, you have 3 sets so the Total Value is $21.75. Some users have been confused by this so we are changing the ADD COIN dialog to show total value as well as individual value. What is the difference between current value and price at the very bottom? Why does the current value not appear in the table until I select a grade, with the only choice being the grade of “Price”, and smaller value of $7.25, but then it fills in the current value with the larger value? === Proof Sets have a single defined value for "Price" several price guide books use the term "Price" as well. The larger value is simply the total value of the 3 sets as detailed above. In Screenshot_2, the only grade choice was “Price”, and the Condition was “Price”, and when I changed the grade to “PROOF”, and selected price, it change the Condition back to “Price”. What does a grade of “Price” mean? Why can’t I select a grade of PROOF? Where did the $21.75 come from above, it does not appear in the grade selection table? Why is the “Price” value less than the “Original Issue Price” for some of the proof sets?' ==== We use the "Price" column to set the value for proof sets in the program. It is possible to select PROOF and enter your own value. The "Price" value is sometimes lower in value than the Original Issue Price because sometimes proof sets go down in value after release. There is no law requiring Proof Sets to be worth more than their original issue price after release (smile)
  22. === QUESTION The trial ran out before I purchased it. If I buy it now, will the information on my coin collection still be there, that I entered in the program? === ANSWER The date file is not deleted when the trial version expires. Any data you entered will still be there if you decide to purchase the program.
  23. === QUESTION I've entered my mothers coin collection into my database under "Mama Collection". I want to print out a separate report from "My Collection". How can I do this? I didn't see a report in the program that I could do this. I want to print out a report for her coins separate from mine. Thank you. === ANSWER To print out a report specific to another collection, you can right mouse click on the collection, then choose the report from the popup. Menu. The resulting report will only include the coins from that selected collection.
  24. can you simply try to install the software again make sure during the install that on the screen where you can specify where StampManage images to be installed, that it is set to this same folder? please not we have a reduced size demo that only contains images for USA and Canada. I don't think that is the issue in your case.
  25. Good Evening I am using Stamp Manager 2015. I have over 100,000 stamps. None of the reports that I can find will show me for many I have. The total allows only 99,999. Is there any way I can get a good count? == Nice to see a customer having entered over 100,000 stamps. This is most likely an issue where we did not allow enough space to show that amount of stamps in a report, will make sure our reports fix the issue in the next update.
